Square's Japanese News Conference Tidbits

Watching the live feed as I type this. Will update the post with interesting developments

-Yuna's Japanese VA from FFX is reprising her role for Dissidia
-Prishe from FFXI as a playable character
-FFIV Complete Unlocks content in new Dissidia.
-FFXIII-2 Announced Lighting shown wearing armor fighting new character.
-Agito XIII now renamed Final Fantasy Type-0 "Was too different from XIII". It'll come with TWO UMDs.




That's a wrap. Only other big thing was a KH 3D trailer. The game will oficially be called "Dream Drop Distance" No I'm not kidding (3D get it?)

You neglected to mention the new Versus XIII trailer which finally shows some gameplay in action. It shows quite a bit of gameplay and some variety in the action. The combat definitely looks very Kingdom Hearts'ish, but coming from the Kingdom Hearts team, that doesn't really surprise me.

But still the trailer gets me excited and disappointed. Since we still don't know a release date on the game. While FFXIII-2 just got announced and is set already for a 2011 release date. >< Why won't they commit to a date for FFvXIII yet? With all of this waiting it's going to be need to be an epic masterpiece for people to accept the waiting.

Oh well, still they got me excited for FFvXIII again.

Wow.... FF XIII-2 planned for release this winter? Daang. They really booked it on that one. I agree though that they need to get their rears in gear about Versus. I shall have to check around for the trailer.

I remember reading a while back that there were trademarks coined for Type-1, Type-2, and Type-3 as well. Guess this is planned to be another series of spin-offs?
