Final Fantasy Explorers Announced for 3DS

Square Enix has another Final Fantasy coming out that they announced through Jump, called Final Fantasy Explorers. It is coming for the 3DS and will be a multiplayer action RPG. Players can pick classic FF jobs like White Mage, Black Mage, Monk and Knight, other jobs will be available, but not revealed yet. It will support up to 4 players as they team up to take on classic summons from the series. Ifrit was the summon previewed in the article.

I already like the concept, I only hope that the movement speed of the characters isn't slow like Heroes of Ruin. This sounds like something many people can get into and its about time the 3DS gets a real FF title besides the rhythm games, which are fun, but they are only music based.

This looks really cool, I love all the Job based Final Fantasies and Explorers look like it might put a new spin on it. Hopefully it's not only restricted to multiplayer because I don't know that many people who have a 3DS and even fewer play Final Fantasy.

The character designs look really neat too, theyr'e a lot more proportioned then the characters were in FF III and IV on the DS.
