FF Conventions

have you ever been to one? Or a gaming convention? I really want to go to E3 if possible.

The only way to get into E3 is if you are a member of the press. It is not available to the public. Hasn't been for several years now.

The only conventions I've been to were anime cons.

When did this happen? Well, that sucks.
Coulda sworn they had one day for press and then one day for the general public.

E3 has been press only since around 2003 I believe.

I went to Blizzcon once, played Starcraft 2 in it's Alpha phase (before zerg were even half way finished) and watched a lot of Tournaments.

I'm interested actually, there should be conventions around, only problem is most are local or set up within groups. Nothing international I know of unfortunately. And Fey, that's an amazing idea, I'm sure they do it in Japan with Cosplay and other amusement during the day.

With a LOT of effort lol, planning everything, activities to attract people, finding a place and booking it and it'd especially have to be somewhere that was easily accessible for people from many different locations. I would love to go to one but my country's lame.

There are literally dozens of cons all across the United States in many states all year round. Next week is actually A-Kon 22 (in Dallas), and it'll be my fourth time going to A-Kon specifically. I've been to a couple of other smaller cons here in Texas as well, but have not been to any other big cons around the country.

I would seriously love to got to an FF convention. Apart from me and my missus everyone else we know hasn't played or doesn't like FF Games. I have yet to meet somebody else in person who loves ter games as much as we do and a convention would make it possible just a shame I have no idea on how to go about going or getting in to one!!!
