Teioh.
Hey fellow FF fans, my first Final Fantasy was FFVII and from then on i've been hooked to the series even playing previous installments which I've equally enjoyed. Anyway as quoted, VII bought diversity to the series and introduced darker skinned characters and it didn't stop there, later installments 7, 8, 10 and 13 later included more.Final Fantasy isn't usually merited for diversity amongst it's main cast of characters but when a controversial dark skinned brotha like Sazh is developed and thrusted upon it's nitpicking fanbase, heads are bound to turn. There has been many black characters throughout Final Fantasy's history but you could only count them on one hand at this point.
Since Final Fantasy VII diversity has gradually crept through the cracks and introduced darker palettes. So let's take a look back at the black characters throughout Square's history.
Anyway if you have one, who's your favourite black Final fantasy character?
Need help with that question or can't remember any black final fantasy characters beside Sazh and Barett, then feel free to refresh your memory by watching the video below.
Enjoy.
Barret. He was like, the comic relief character.
For Our Lord Sheogorath, without Whom all Thought would be linear and all Feeling would be fleeting. Blessed are the Madmen, for they hold the keys to secret knowledge. Blessed are the Phobic, always wary of that which would do them harm. Blessed are the Obsessed, for their courses are clear. Blessed are the Addicts, may they quench the thirst that never ebbs. Blessed are the Murderous, for they have found beauty in the grotesque. Blessed are the Firelovers, for their hearts are always warm. Blessed are the Artists, for in their hands the impossible is made real. Blessed are the Musicians, for in their ears they hear the music of the soul. Blessed are the Sleepless, as they bask in wakeful dreaming. Blessed are the Paranoid, ever-watchful for our enemies. Blessed are the Visionaries, for their eyes see what might be. Blessed are the Painlovers, for in their suffering, we grow stronger. Blessed is the Madgod, who tricks us when we are foolish, punishes us when we are wrong, tortures us when we are unmindful, and loves us in our imperfection.
It'd be great if you could explain WHY you like this character...
My favorite is Sazh - mostly because he's one of the few characters I really understood perfectly. I like how he cares about his son most, though it's typical and YES, I know, that was also a part of Barrett's personality. Still, Sazh wasn't as straight-forward as Barrett and didn't talk as much... I like emotional characters like Sazh, mostly because I suffered when he searched for Dajh, he was so desperate ;.;" Plus, mini-chocobo gets all the sympathies
Edit: OH SERIOUSLY!!! O___O Why did I write SNOW?? I HATE SNOW! XD Thanks for noticing, Zargabaath!

Not that skin color should ever be involved, for any reason, but Barret, of course.

@ Heartless Angel:
Barret was funny, but Cid & Yuffie the "comic relief characters", if anyone.
I didn't find the situation with Barret and his daughter funny at all.
(Sorry for not editing, PS3 refuses to allow. Just HAD to put that out there.)
