Why should I when gamespot rating and fan votes chose Sephy as the no.1 bad guy on the FF universe. Not just gamespot but IGN as well

There's a reason this is "Favorite Final Boss" instead of "What gaming publications think is the greatest boss of all time." Also, isn't Gamespot the same publication that fired Jeff Gerstmann for not giving Kane and Lynch a stellar review? That should show you how intelligent they are.

My FFX fanboyism is going to come out here, and I'm going to say Sin/Yu Yevon. I love the way the Sin fights are set up, with the slow weakening of Sin until you could get inside of him. The BFA fight is well done, save for the fact that he doesn't have a whole lot of health. Like Dodie said, I like the extra little bit of strategy that Tidus' "Talk" command gives, and I really think it solidifies that Jecht still has some humanity in him despite being what he is.

I have to say that the Final Fantasy Tactics Final Boss was one of my favorites simply because it was a nice cushion. Most of the earlier battles I had extreme difficulty, and just getting to Altima as challenging. Once I finally reached Altima, my party easily tore through her. It was a relief to say I had finally finished it (And Tactics I put in over 90 hours, simply to train/level/get all the jobs mastered.)

I'm going to be old school and say Neo Exdeath. Why? Cause he was unbelievable!

You're essentially fighting four bosses, and they're all out for your blood! o_O It takes a while, especially if you show up with Levels like 50-60, like me... -_- But... he has a weakness... and that weakness is MONEY!!!

Ultimecia! I had such a rough time battling her. She has like three forms and the second and third forms are insane, well I thought so anyway. Griever would steal heaps of your magic and if you had it junctioned to one of your characters... then you were screwed. She was a great challenge.

I think either Zeromus (FFIV) or Altima (FFT) were my favourite. Zeromus was very tough even on high levels and probably the most challenging final boss I've fought (if my memory serves me right). Altima was just plain freaky with the bloody rituals and possessing other people. I really wanted to just kick her butt and make sure she never puts her hands on Alma again. D:
