One-Winged Angel has lyrics that were taken from the medieval poetry on which Carl Orff based his Carmina Burana.
That's all I can think of...
I have noticed that throughout the FF series - especially the older NES and SNES FFs - they have used some famous classical music either as a theme for an event or area, or integrated into one of the game's music themes.
So far I've heard:
Swan Lake by Tchaikowsky - FF2 when the Lamia lures Firion
Habanera by Bizet - FF5 when the dancers in the pubs do their thing
The dancer's theme in FF3 is also a popular classical piece though I can't recall its name.
Has anyone identified any other classical pieces in the games?

Sometimes I just want to be with my family and watch a movie and eat some popcorn. But when I step on the mat I know there is no other place I'd rather be." -Marcelo Garcia
To fight is a man's instinct; if men have nothing else to fight over they will fight over words, fancies, or women, or they will fight because they dislike each other's looks, or because they have met walking in opposite directions” - George Santayana
Indeed, that's very interesting! I've always loved the lyrics to One Winged Angel

No matter how hard you hold on,
It escapes you..."
