Good luck. Thats all I can say. I have Squall at 100 and I'm pretty good with him and I can't beat anyone in Inward Chaos. whatever you get for beating it should be very nice.
K, after getting my Zidane to level 100 and tackling through the most of story mode and a lot of the DC, I've ran into a roadblock known as the "Inward Chaos", so to speak. Never in my life have I been so frustrated to losing repeatedly to the Warrior of Light's stupid BRV->HP attack chains while listening to the "Town Theme" for FF1, of all the battle music to listen to.
Therefore, I've come to the forums asking for help. What's some good equipment for Zidane? I'm in the process of farming for his ultimate weapon, but what are some good equipment choices? What about accessories, should I invest on getting him more accessory slots? (I have 6 for him right now) How about summons? I've been using Magic Pot manual for awhile, does anyone else have some good Summon recommendations? And lastly, anyone have good strategies for Zidane in general, like with chaining attacks and stuff?

If it makes you feel better, I keep getting owned by Chaos myself. I just can't seem to stop him. His attacks are MASSACRE, and I've almost never been able to dodge whatever that move is with the fire and swords. DAMN that attack! Brink of Delusion is nothing, but it just wastes time. I have never once got to his third phase. o_O (Well, except story mode, but there he's a joke... -_-)

Whats your characters/equipment/accessory setups? You got down all the way there so I'm sure if you keep at it you can win, but yeah Chaos was rediculous at the end of that story mode even at a low level, just thinking about how stacked he is will probably make my head explode.

I WILLZ HELP YOU!! If I can, anyway. >>
From what I've heard, even enemies in Inward Chaos don't have an AI that is bright enough to not fall for Zidane's Shift Break. So if you constantly spam it, the enemy will just be scared of you and not attack; then they'll stupidly dash straight into the Shift Break. This would be considered the cheap way of dominating. =P
But there are other methods. You can go for certain setups with certain accessories.
To gain lots of Ex Force and enter Ex Mode more often, plus stay in it longer, equip the following accessories: Ivory Choker, Ivory Choker, Pretty Orb, Dragonfly Orb, Gravitorb, Pearl Necklace, Silver Hourglass, Gold Hourglass, Close To You, and Center of the World. You'll be gaining Ex Force at an immense rate, and you'll stay in Ex mode for about 50% longer than usual.
You can also use the extremely risky setup that is done by equipping a Back to the Wall, Rebellious Soul, and a Valor Resin. This will make your starting Bravery be immense. At the start of the battle, you will have 9,999 Bravery, so just attack once and they'll die.
Alternatively, you can use my setup, which relies on Breaking the enemy almost always. Equip the following accessories: Smiting Soul, HP = 100%, No BRV Damage, Full Ex Gauge, Summon Unused, Pre-Bravery Attack. Pre-HP Attack, Pre-Bravery Damage, Pre-HP Damage, and Easy Come, Easy Go. If you have them all activated, that is a 63.8 multiplier, which will almost guarantee an Iai Strike. But the bad thing is that it wears off a bit after the first use, and after thirty seconds, it decreases even more. But if you keep using Bravery attacks until you acquire 9,999 Bravery - which is fast if you keep gaining stage Bravery for inflicting Break - you'll get that really, really fast. Then, like the above method, just attack once and kill them.
Oh, and for summons, Alexander and Shiva are great choices. If you can deplete the opponent's Bravery, Shiva will prevent it from ever increasing until her time is up. And if you get your own Bravery to be in the thousands, Alexander will freeze it solid, so even if you connect with an HP attack, you'll still retain your current Bravery. That means that three attacks of just 3,333 Bravery will destroy them. =D
Lastly, good luck. =D

Nice, good info Fate.
A question that comes to my mind is this: do you actually have all of that stuff on your characters and stuff though? like their ultimate weapons + really good eq + 10 godly accessories? And if so, is there some secret trick to getting that stuff quickly? lol I know that getting the final weapons for each character can be somewhat of a grind, but other then that, do I just hit up the DC and grind grind grind until I get what I all need or how do I go about doing it?

Well, you certainly don't REQUIRE the ultimate weapons, but they do help a bit. But Booster Accessories and Iai Strike are definitely something to consider. Also, I would suggest continuosly fighting him until you can perfectly execute when a dodge needs to happens. And good luck with that flame sword attack. (-_-) Like Fate said, a proper summon is a MUST. Shiva is good, but it only lasts one battle, so try to save it for the last fight, or the second fight. Also like Fate said, try to unload with Ex Mode/Burst. Just equip the best Ex Boosting accessories you have. Then there's the last method: Exdeath's Omni-Block. However, blocking one attack will cause him to immediately rush to you and perform that unblockable spinning attack. Overall, I can say they did a very good job in making a cheap final boss. o_O

As always, Square Enix has to make a boss fight so hard it takes three+ people have to figure it out. If nothing else works, level up a character that learns HP attacks that branch from Bravery attacks, maybe that can work...along with insane luck...
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes...or should I?
I got a good strategy for you. When you start the battles, let the computer player attack first (hopefully its a bravery attack) and when they do, block the attack and strike back. Try to keep your distance from the enemy when you fight them so you don't end up the other end of the stick.

Well, I don't have all of the exclusive weapons, just the Onion Sword for my Onion Knight. But for the ten booster accessories, yes, I do have all ten of them. There really isn't much of a trick as there is just Battlegening them. You might get lucky and just Battlegen one of the accessories themselves, but more than likely, you'll be trading for it. Look up the passwords for the Ghosts that you can fight. They have some pretty nice accessories, even exclusives and the ingredients for the Easy Come, Easy Go accessory, but they don't come all that easy. Here, you can find the passwords here.

i found it easy with zidane i kept doing meo twister and when he got up i dashed to him and did it again when he does punishment i doged the fire then did a dog roll in the air when the sword apears to stun you it will mis and leave him open for a meo twister have the summon omega and blast away at him with it at his 3rd form save your ex when he is going to kill you with a hp attack time it right and it will block his hp attack then hit him with meo twister or free energy and if you keep doing it correctly it will work after the battle you will unlock blackjack course and the genji stuff so have fun and i hoped i helped and if not sorry message me and i will message back with my second stratagy the best stuff for the battle is
Weapon: The Tower Or Ozma Splinters If You Have It
Armour: Snowflake Sweater
Helm: Chaplet
Gauntlet: Lunate Armlet
If You cant equipt any of them use lores so you can you can get the snowflake stuff from duel collasuim from the lunar whale corse Hope I Helped This Was The Stuff I Used When I Beat Him
IC is pretty hard to beat at the end because he hits so hard and uses demon dance till u die. one way to do it is to do a hit and run. for example! grand lethal then run or Shift break then run.
for summon use odin because he has a 50% chance of breaking, ultima weapon is good too but it takes long to break, use omega if u want it to decrease fast
Update
I FINALLY killed the bastard. I did it with Onion Knight. I found that you could semi-loop him into jumping into your attacks. I'm not sure if it's Turbo Hit or what(that aerial physical Bravery attack), and use Guiding Swipe forever until he dies. Sometimes, he'll escape the combo, but chase him and attack fast. Usually, Onion Knight hits so fast, they Chaos cannot activate any of his devastating attacks. I made it through all three phases without seeing a single Brink of Delusion! Of course, even with that, he still has a chance of cheaping you out. For example, those fire swords are still a bitch to dodge. Scarlet Rain is like... Ugh... But he almost never uses it, so... Only thing I can say is, for the first time for a final boss, disregard all strategy, and become reckless. That's what I did, and I won.
But even if you can't defeat him, don't worry about it. The reward is just Genji equipment in the shop, which isn't as good as it looks. -_- And, no, you can't get Shinryu, sadly. Still, I suppose its bragging rights, Ultimate Chaos is one hell of a bitch boss... o_O (Just so you know, ever since I beat him, I never challenged it again, I'm done with that FOREVER!!! That's the feeling you get.)

it's actually rather simple when you think about you gotta train for each character.
my first time going through it I had level 100 Squall with his best unique and artifact version of the Genji gear and I got hammered. once I had done it a few times and learnt their patterns that don't change no matter who you use it's all a matter of block and smash the last character I did IC with was a Level 76 Cloud and I cut through all but Chaos no problem.
secret tip for chaos fight a level 1 version of him in VS CPU cause his AI hardly change no matter what level so you can learn him without any issues
the only other thing I can say is good luck and happy spaming of Meo-Twister

I...did it. I finally beaten Inward Chaos. You could not believe how long it taken me to beat it. Now, I just need a way to not get my ass handed to me in the black jack course in Duel Colosseum.

Holy crap. I have the same exact problem. I'm using Zidane level 100 with the best equipment I can get and I still can't beat the Warrior of Light on Inward Chaos. It's so damn frustrating that I almost broke my PSP out of anger. >.<;

that's only in the Japanese version in the English version tidal flame does that
Now for my advice, never attack first use zidanes speed to run circles around the enemy until they attack;dodge and punish, being overly aggresive doesn't work here(to make yu feel better my lvl 100 kuja has lvl20's equipment so I have to play near perfectly versus lvl 100 enemies which I always do.) And I use zidane a ton and that technique works with anyone, also have tempest and swift attack, chaining them together is brutal and almost impossible to dodge, take it from me I'm really good at this game since I only focus on three characters and got really good with them, o and exp to hp is an awsome safeguard. As for accessories I use this: Gold hourglass, smiting soul,hp=100,ex mode,in midair, close to you, center of the world, back breaking straw, and dangerously lucky/phoenix pinion; it's an awsome combination that helps itself and provides almost constant criticals if you use ex critical boost. Hope this helps

Hey just started playing inward chais. found a very good way on how to beat firion and warrior of light. I use cloud level 100. all i do is when they are far i use metore rain, you never know you might get lucky. but only do it about twice other wise they doge and zoom for you and your are basicaly dead. When they get too close zoom for thm and do braver by just hitting squar, yo might miss you might not. if you do they will counter, all you do is doge and do braver again, and thats how i beat the warior of light and firion.
Qeustion how do i sap bravery like the computer doese it, because when they do it its like 200 brav points with each it when i do it its like 40 brave points with each hit.
Also last thing if theres a way to become totally invincible please let us know. I know most games dont have that cheat and some do, doese it exsist for ff disidea.
finaly beat inward chaos with cloud, woooo
I just beat without any cheap tricks!!!!
I only had an ultima weapon summon and my ia strike didn't activate once!(dammit for that)
I got to 1hp 4 fing times and holy shit was it hard:0

ok sorry about sayign i had loads of them equipped, but i did have htem equiped. I cant really remember the items names, but i alsu had a valour something equiped and i also had all the machine weapons equiped. And im not lying about beating him ach time with omnislash exburst. i swear each time i went forwad whent into ex mode sliced him with omni slash 5 and then went into exburst and took him out with clouds ultimate attack, and i did that each round.
Also thos resine things, they dont break each time you fight him, so for all three rounds you still have them equiped.

thats what cloud is all about lol skill and power
All about knowing how to push an AI's buttons. Memorize how they react to certain mvoes, and exploit it. I'm a Seph user, so I'll use him as an example. Shadow Flare. (90% of the time a CPU reacts to that by dodging towards you.) SO basically, if I can't seem to hit, I'll just drop a Shadow Flare, dash, and hit em with sudden cruelty just as the invincibility period of the dodge ends. I haven't used Zidane all that much, so I'm not sure how well this works with high level CPUs, but dropping a Tidal Flame then rushing for a brv move usually works to land some HP damage. The CPU will usually block or dodge the brv move, and get nailed with the Tidal Flame during the recovery period. Chaos is a joke if you use a character with an infinite. Chaos's size makes him very easy to combo to death. I usually wait for his first attack, rush him, then start dodge cancelling Sudden Cruelty. He can literally never escape it. I can just sit there and spam it until i've got 9999 brv. His attacks are fairly easy to avoid once you're used to seeing them. Only one you can't really avoid is Soul of Oblivion, but you can just hit him out of it before he fires. Also, when he does that move where he flies out of the ground 3 times, this is a golden opportunity for an HP attack, get high enough for the first to miss, and all 3 hits will be out of range, yet he;ll keep flying right up to you, just begging to get nailed. Personally I like using Hell's Gate here. As for summons, I usually run Ifrit. CPUs play alot more defensively when you have a chance for a one hit kill. So, i'll get bravery around 2/3 of their HP, and trigger Ifrit when they're in the middle of getting hit with an HP move. Also, the Destroyer accessory is your best friend, since pretty much everybody in Inward Chaos has Last Chance. For accesories I usually run...
Yes, there are better boosters, but these are all easy conditions to meet, so you don't have to work at keeping them going. If you're still having trouble, switch out one of the muscle belts with an Iai Strike. I also used Adamant armor and One-Winged-Angel; though Ultima Weapon will suffice.
- Destroyer (seriously, this thing is awesome, it disables the last chance, phoenix down/pinions, valor last chance... anything tthat would save their ass is gone. This also means they won't start playing defensively due to being near death)
- Champion Belt (+25% physical damage ftw?)
- Muscle Belt (+15% physical)
- Muscle Belt (I like high physical damage btw)
- Gaia Ring (+15% damage)
- Level 100 [Booster x1.2]
- Hp = 100% [Booster x1.5]
- Level is multiple of 5 [Booster x1.2]
- Attacking Bravery [Booster x1.2]
- Summon Unused [Booster x1.5]
