Do any of you cry at the FF games? My missus always cries at 7 when Red 13 finds out the truth about his dad and also when Aeris dies. In FF8 she cries at the bit about Raine and Laguna. Do you cry at the same bits not cry at all or any other parts you find emotional. Remember there is no shame in crying

I cried at Aeris ... when I was 7 years old lol, was always a bit of a queen when I was younger xP

I spent the last 10 years with never crying, i'm now 21, and I recently replayed X, and cried at the ending. It felt weird, crying after 10 years of not crying, probably because i'm kind of robotic in my view of the world. But i'm a true romantic at heart, and had recently gone through a break-up, so when I saw the ending again, I just couldn't help myself xD

Now I cry at lots of the games, if someone dies, or goes through a hard time. Or if i'm watching musicals lol, I cry with joy xP

I cried when Aerith died and when Bugenhagen died in FFVII. I laughed so hard that I cried when Cloud dresses up like a woman and the various things he had to get to do so (especially at the HoneyBee Inn which is seared into my brain for the rest of my life.) I held off on crying when Yuna sent Auron but that was after crying a little from having to kill my aeons and before the following scene with Tidus. And I cried a little during FFIV when you get the scene about Sabin reliving the night his father died, having a little experience at the myself. But I wouldn't change those moments in the games. Something I love about these games is that they reach out and grab you, if not drag you along the storyline till it feels as real as can be.

I've never really 'cried' in the fullest sense of the word. However, i've gotten 'teary-eyed' at a number of scenes in the games, namely:

FFVII
- death of Aeris
- when Cait Sith sacrifices himself to get the Black Materia

FFX
- the very end of the story (when Yuna makes her speech)

FFXII
- Vossler realising the error of his way and accepting death
- Reddas' death

I have never actually cried during a Final Fantasy game. I may get teary-eyed like RavenZecht. It's been like this for IX, X, X-2, and XIII. It didn't happen for I, II, V, or VIII. When I did "cry", it was because I had been storing all of my emotions for 50+ hours on something that they jus spilled forth.

For X, it was the entire ending. To have to fight the aeons, send Auron and Jecht, and watch Tidus disappear. X-2, it was mainly because it was over, know that Yuna and crew were finally free of danger and that the Enternal Calm was really there. XIII, I don't even know why this game got to me. I think it was the Leona Lewis song tied into all of the hard work I put in to finish the game.

I've cried during the ending of XIII, I think I did because you felt very connected with the characters. It's pretty amazing that a video game can do that, right?
PLUS, the Leona Lewis song made me even more emotional

I'm a guy who tries to hold back tears. But I cried in many different FF

FFVII- When Aeris was killed
FFX- The ending....it was so bloody sad, I would hate for that to actually happen in real life.

I think the reason why X made me cry so much is because I'm a romantic and I liked how they played off the love story (spoiler alert) but then when a certain character has to leave leaving the one that person behind forever....it sucks.

I wasn't like this before but now i cry at almost everything like when sum1 dies or sumones life is full of tragedies. I cried when ZACK died at the ending of Crisis Core coz he waz my favourite character nd i love im soo much. I didn't talk for weeks and did not eat properly bcoz i waz really upset that he promises Aerith to come n meet her but he dies before that. When he dies, the lines he says are so damn emotional and it makes you cry so loud and you can't even stop. Those lines just continousely repeated in my mind and made me cry again and again. But then dragged my mind towards something else and in a pasage of time i snapped myself out of it but if i still see that part i would cry alot.

I'll admit, i think i actually did shed a tear when Zack died, especially when Cloud screamed. It was so chilling and emotional. :'(

X's ending always gets me teary eyes. Best FF ending imo. Having to kill your dad, saying goodbye to all your friends and leaving the woman you love. You gotta feel bad for Tidus

And Squall's speech during the garden party made me tear-eyed, but it was out of pride and honour. One of the few times in that game where I felt some emotion towards the characters.

I've gotten teary eyed a couple of times during some FFs. I LOVE it when a game, or any medium really, can get me to cry. Kinda wierd, as I am a guy, but I find that if a fictional creation can make me cry, it has done it's job.


FFVIII-

Spoiler: During the ending cutscene, I always get teary eyed when Laguna is overlooking Raine's grave. Very touching.

FFIX-

Spoiler: When Zidane revealed himself under the cloak at the very end of the game. It was more like tears of joy than sadness, obviously.

FFX-

Spoiler: Like everyone else, that ending scene gets me everytime I view it. The music also really sells it.

EDIT:
Oh, and I didn't really cry at this part but in FFVI

Spoiler: when General Leo was killed by Kefka (I think it was Kefka).

I just was really sad that he died. I was really hoping he would become a party member. =(

If you don't get a little choked up at the ending of FFX, then you're either a cynical douche or have no soul. The editing software was clearly set on "tear jerk" mode. T_T

I used to get a little choked up over the FFVIII ending as well, but now when I rewatch it I realize it's more bittersweet than sad.
