Cid's Everywhere!

Obviously Cid is a recognizable staple of the series to anyone who has played multiple titles. Cid is often a memorable character, either helping the party immensely or acting as a member of the party itself. So, that begs the question. Who is your favorite Cid and why?

Mine is Cid Highwind from FFVII. I like that he is a playable character and that he's a realistic character at that. I've always liked dragoons and so he stands out from the rest in that way already. What mainly gets me is his attitude. You can tell that he really cares, but he's kind of an ass about everything. I like that. It reminds me of a few people I know.

I'm with you, Cid Highwind is my favorite, but if I had to choose a second I liked Cid in FFXII. I found him to be amusing in a weird sort of way.

Hm. A tie between Cid Fabool IX from Final Fantasy IX, and Cid Pollendina from Final Fantasy IV.

The one from IX saved his crew, despite being a frog at the time, from Kuja's hourglass trap. Funny how the story could actually progress only if he were turned back into a man. xD

The one from IV is pretty cool. Other than the White Mage in FFI and Cinna in FFIX, I never really played as anyone who could use a hammer. Really liked his attitude and his lines.

Cid Highwind from FFVII is my personal favourite, followed very closely by Al-Cid Margrace and Doctor Cid from FFXII.

Cid from FFVII is pure brilliance. GODDAMN TEA!

No, really, though. His attitude to things really sells it. He can provide hilarious moments, and contribute well to serious ones too. That, and I'm quite a fan of oldbie characters.

I really like Cid from V. He realized his mistake, and tried to fix it. Then, his devotion to helping out Bartz and everyone was admirable.

Cid from X was pretty cool, too. I have always liked people who were bilingual, and even though he chose to destroy Home, his passion for bringing the Al Bhed people together is amazing. I just wish he had a bigger part in X-2.

Cid highwind FTW! in ff7. He's just a super cool character. Awesome attacker, great one liners and in general just a cool pilot. Also like Cid from FFIV, and also FFVI, although he was evil he helped Celes

My favourite is definitely Cid from FFXII, he is the evil scientist genius, I find his character very complex and interesting.

Cid Highwind is a close second, I love Dragoons too and I admire his passion for science. Of course his golden tongue is a plus! "Sit down and drink your goddam TEA!" lol

I generally love all the Cid character design, he always appears as the wise and knowledgeable person, me love it! ^^

Cid Highwind was pretty awesome. He had some of the funniest lines and he hada good storyline too. Cid from XII was pretty cool too.

While he does appear to be crazy, Cidolfus Demen Bunansa is perfectly sane, well, more or less. Still, there's something about evil geniuses I simply love, not Hojo though, that guy is plain creepy.

When I was writing my post I remembered Hojo because he's a scientist too, but yea he's creepy and I refused to write his name down lol. I don't think Hojo is as complex as Cid. I find Dr. Cid's character too intriguing, he is sane yet insane. I think he is my favourite villain...

My fav cid is Cid Kramer from FFVIII. hes awesome. hes a great rolemodel for everyone wanting to be apart of SeeD and he's funny as hell at times. and he looks alot like Robin WilliamsXD

Although I keep saying that FFVII, while awesome is pretty much WAY overrated, I must admit that Cid Highwind is (so far) Unbeatable. Dr. Cid from XII and the one from FFIV are pretty good too.

I could've sworn I posted here already. Huh. Guess not.

Anyway, my favorite Cid is FFIV's Cid Pollendina. A master at what he does. A fun, up-beat personality. Wasn't bad in battle as a physical attacker, either. Only thing is I wish he had some kind of unique ability better than what he got (Scan/Peep/Libra).

I Agree With You On The Fact That There Are Multiple Cids In Almost Every Game...It Is Very Strange In A Way. I Guess They Just Like The Name Cid Or Something...Hehe

My Favorite Cid? I Think It Would Have To Be Cid Highwind. He Is The One I Know More About, And Stands Out The Most For Me. He Is In More Than Just FFVII The Original, He Is In The Movie, And Some Other FFVII Spin-Offs, So In My Book He Is The Most Influential "Cid" Character In My Opinion.
