To Ultima:
NINJA is the BEST job for your characters especially Marche w/ Double Sword Ability... It could be easier if you had Beatdown and heavy damagers. Just concentrate on Remedi - The two Totemas are not worthy of your attention. Or, if you have enough strength to beat them down, like my party, go on. Assassins are almost useless because their Corner doesn't work on the three. Don't worry about Remedi's attack, bash her until she dies. I'm not sure about her Omega, though, I thought I was gonna die, but when she attacked my assassin, the damage was zero. I'll look further to my equips and post if I find out anything.
I need help. I heard that Ninjas/jugglers throw rare weapons like excalibur 2 or ebon blade. Have you any idea what level they have to be in to throw those items?
I think the Throw damage NOT depend on the attack power of weapons u choose to throw, it depends on the attack power of character. U shoudn't use this skill because it will take lots of money. Use money for some expensive items (like ELixir).
I know this may seem stupid but how do I save the game in final fantasy tactics advance? Also am I not meant to be able to walk around the cities? All I can do is go to the pubs, shops and the jail by clicking on the towns... I had a battle in a town but now I can't go back to that town, just the pub and clan place and shop. Please help a noob.
No matter, found out.
ok stupid question probably but ill ask anyways. in FFTA how do i get turf for my clan? ive looked at the turf rumor but i dont understand. i keep fighting clans and all the areas are still grey on tht chart that shows u ur turf. so can someone explain the turf thing to me like how i get turf and how i defend it cu i know its something like if an area goes red another clan is trying to take the turf. any help would be much apreciated.
EDIT: Also i found an unanswered thread asking for help.
could u answer it cus i am kind of wonder what he should do just incase the same thing happens to me as well.Quote:

ok well I learned how to get turf and thanks for the answer elf. but now I am wondering how come the missions I do arent in chronologicol order? I mean I do the missions and it will say ive done mission 1,2,3, ect, ect, but then theres a bunch of not completed missions on that page(on the thing that shows all the missions) so then I go to the next pages cus i knew i had done a lot more thn that and it says ive dont missions on thoose pages but the missions are just spread out acroos the pages and theres a ton not done. so i restarted thinking mayne i miissed a lot of missions, but a little ways into the game it does the same thing! whats going on??
EDIT: all the missions it says i did i really did do, but its saying tht instead being something like mission number 8 its mission number 117 and the missions inbetween arent done.
The missions inbetween are mainly the missions you just send your clan members out on, you know the ones where you have to either wait so long (5days for example), engage in 2 battles or beat so many monsters.
Most of the games missions are actually like that.
a while ago, I started playing FFT again, but when I loaded my file I was only battles away from the 1 on 1 fight with Weigraf. now I'm at him and am finding it to be challenging, does anyone have any specific strategies to use against him?
Could somebody tell me how to beat "The Five Kings" quest in FFTA2: Grimoire of the Rift? (Grimoire of the Rift is my only Tactics game)
And I can't help you with that Tactics game, because I don't have it.
Read what I have in parenthesis.
how do you get excalibur2?
Auto-Potion works well, especially if you get rid of your lower-grade potions. Same w/the Dragoon reaction ability that's basically Auto-Reraise, but I'd go w/Auto-Potion. Otherwise, you'll just want to overpower him. Maybe Accumulate a few times in your starting place while he makes his way to you? It's been a while since I last had to deal w/that battle w/o being overpowered by then.
As for the Kings...I've only done 2 myself so far and one thing I noticed that REALLY helped me out in those battles was traps, so I figure the Libra Clan Privilege would be helpful (not something I've put into practice, though). Otherwise, it was a LOT of Hi-Potions, Cure, Life & Phoenix Downs...>_<
It was mostly just a waiting game, hammering it out little by little.
also how do you get double cast..?
I would guess that you are talking about FFTA. I'm not sure if there is an Excalibur2 in the other games.
You have to complete the Hero Blade mission.
Red Mages can get this from Madu. You can get Madu when you get Negotiation Lv. 40 or you can steal it from some Red Mages, but I can't remember what battles it is in.
I could help a bit more if I had the ruling law mentioned. Though...by the time you face all of the Cinqleur, and with the difficulty of having five level 99 spellcasters, I would advice breaking the law if necessary.
Usually, I get a combo of long-ranged characters and status effect users. Fusilier and Green Mage are your friends, so as long as you have Stopshot and Tranquilizer. That'll allow you to Stop and damage some of the characters, and have success on the status effect infliction. A Time Mage with Hastega is a must, given that the speed is what often kills you, not the spells or something similar. If you have a long ranged weapon using character with Rend Speed, USE IT!!!! All Rend skills prove useful for this battle.
I've found some luck with the two battles I've had so far with the Cinquleur members (Ruuj and Bliu), using the following character mixtures. Mix and match if necessary, though you might not have trained your characters this way:
--Green Mage/Elementalist: all you need is Tranquilizer (and maybe Protect, Shell and Sleep), but having a variety of status effects PLUS damage and healing spells works well.
--Cannoneer/Warrior: remember I told you about a long-ranged character that used Rend Skills? I spoke of this guy. The unusual amount of HP should help with the magic barrage.
--Fusilier/Mog Knight or Flintlock/Fusilier: again, Stopshot. Stopshot, Stopshot, Stopshot. I mean it.
--Time Mage/?: I'm using an Arcanist with it, but that's your choice. All you really need is Hastega.
--Viking/Ranger: Mirror Item, Pillage, some spellcasting, the traps. Perhaps a tough choice given that Vikings are not that useful than Rangers.
The last choice is left to you, although you might need a pinch-healing Paladin or Defender to protect from the barrage. Since most of them are spellcasters, using Evade Magick is almost a must. If you can equip Mindu Gems or Ribbons, better.
I would like to help you more, but honestly, I haven't reached that mission, and I'm speaking by the experience given by the two first missions. All I can say is: I used a similar strategy with Bliu, and I pretty much humiliated him with the single loss of one character (a Geomancer), and getting a Mindu Gem out of him.
Also, if you see the names a bit off, do consider I'm playing the game in Spanish. The terms are wildly different, and I use the Final Fantasy Wikia when I seek the English names. Hope that helps.
tyvm now i just need to do the quest
but to find out ill figure out
ty again
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and the mages english names are: Ruuj, Bliu, Nware, and Blanch (I cannot remember the green mage's name).
I wonder what you get for beating Cinquleurs' final quest (The Five Kings), besides the Lightwing Crystal loot item and a lot of gil?
Haven't gotten there, but I recall one of the Scions' summoning accessories is the actual prize. Though, the battle is quite hard considering Ruuj is pretty much the toughest menace out there with her Doublecast ability. Bliu is the second toughest given the Magick Frenzy tactic.
Also...
There are a few Excalibur 2 weapons in FFTA2. One is a reward from a mission dealing with one of the unique NPCs (Frimelda), and given the actual Loot, you can get one via the Bazaar. Heck...you can get every weapon via the Bazaar, even the Sequence and the Peytral. Or, there's also the Auction: at times, you get rare items by auctioning for them. So FFTA isn't the only game you have Excalibur 2's. Though, there's just one Masamune 100, and it's quest-based.Quote:

Perhaps it's an Leo/Aeris revival-degree rumor? Because I've finished FFT about 2-3 times and I haven't seen a different ending. It's meant to finish that way.
Maybe you got lied at? I'm with Squall at that; there's no "Good Ending" so far. And I've explored pretty much everything, gotten every treasure and seen all unexplored lands, got all secret characters and pretty much got every weapon save the Zodiac Spear and Zodiac Escutcheon (plus some other more) and still I see one ending...
grrr how can i get a gastra bow!?(ffta) iv beaten it 4 times now and no matter wut i do i dont get it gamefaqs told me that the only way 2 get it wus a plain-plain-plain tresure hunt but i always get sumthing craptastic most recently being a hi potion... wuts wrong!>
I've heard the alternate ending or w/e is only a slight alteration of something or other and only occurs if you have all of the Zodiac Stones...I've never not had them, though, so idk what the regular (?) ending would be...
ok dont know if im in the right area for this...but. Me and my mate both have FFT: WOTL, i have a PSP-2002 he has a PSP-2001.
Now we want to connect and battle each other or do some missions together.
We have check our WLAN and our channels, changed hosting and joining, but no matter how much we try we cannot connect with each other.
This shouldnt have anything to do with him having an older model PSP should it?
Thanks to anyone who can give me an insight to this frustrating problem.
Make him a squire with auto potion (i know auto potion has been said but -) then make sure he knows Focus (strength booster) and Tailwind (speed booster) and use tailwind over and over again until your like 5 turns ahead of him. Then use focus multiple times saaaaay like 15 times or something. I my self used tailwind until i was 7 turns ahead xD i wanted over kill!!! but anyways you should be able to kill him in one shot afterwards and then right when your done you will fight his Zodiac form, this should be easy and you can kill it in 3 turns which should happen continually as you keep the stats you boosted before hand since its considered to be one whole battle.
Golly, this game have a lot of people needing help anymore. Anyway...
I am playing Final Fantasy Tactics. I just finished the battle in the Slums at Dorter, and I am about to go to the Reklaus Desert Battle...again. I keep dying.
I want to do some level grinding, but I don't know about the days changing. Do the days changing affect how I perform in battle. In the game, it is January 7, and my birthday is January 3. I don't want to grind if the strength of my attacks are affected by the changing zodiac sign.
I apologize if I confused anyone. I just would like some help, please.
Naa bro, the zodiac signs only effect how you will react with other characters. Like if you have Best compat you will do more damage to each other, items like phenoix downs will revive with more hp, and ect.
As for the Sand Rats Celler fight, I'd recomend having Algus and Delita both as knights, and giving them the best armor and shields you can find. Everyone else should try to support them. Algus will take one side and delita the other.
In my experiance, delita will get bombarded alot less so it's usually Algus who will need more help. Still, having weapon guard and some shields will really make a differance and you might be able to get some lucky defences and make them a bit more tanky.
Support units that would be nice would be:
Archer: Only if you have the long bow.
Black Mage: Provided s/he is defended from arrows.
Chemist: Duh.
Also, remember, just cause the computer ai for delita and algus does stupid stuff, doesn't mean you have to aswell to go and save them.
Hope it helps, good luck and Godspeed.
Thanks, your advice really helped. Although it looked like I was in a chandelier store, all the crystals on the battlefield. I used up all of my potions and phoenix downs, and still only ended up with Delita and Ramza still breathing.
