New-Old music style for FFXIV?

I have read on a few forums that Nobuo Uematsu is going to make more FF music that is Techno-Metal or Techno-Rock like in original FF games for the NES and the SNES including FFVII for the ps1. I think that it is good to go back to the old stuff, but I also think that the music should also include new type music.

What are your thoughts on this and do you like what might be planned for the future?

I like where this is going. Nobuo Uematsu, is very much needed in FF world.
But, you wouldn't believe how massive FF has fuzz the world.*in a great way*
I agree, a mixture of old and new is highly recommended for the coming years.

I love the older stuff (nostalgia can make anything seem great, though in this case I think the subject is either way), but I wouldn't mind hearing something new if it fits the game well.

Some games come out though and either the music in general or one song (Blue Dragon's boss theme anyone?) is really nerves grating. Other games, (looking at you Nier) have an amazing newer soundtrack.

I think that Nobuo can do better, I believe that if the right type of music was used for the right parts like something like, idk, Celes' theme for something romantic (just listing an example) Thats what my opinion is.
