Spira??

What did you think of Spira overall? Could there have more place to adventure? Could they have been more emense so that you could roam a little more? Or could they have been smaller with more to the point gaming? I want to know what you think or what you would change, if you would change anything.

I wish there had been a little more freedom like in the traditional Final Fantasy. It would have made it that much better. I also would have liked for there to be more, bigger cities. I like to explore places and talk to people. It would have been great to be able to manually control the airship and go where ever I pleased. I'm sure Spira would have looked amazing to fly over on the airship, since it was the first FF for PS2. Other than that though the game was great. That's the only thing I would change.

I agree. Spira could have been alot bigger and let you explore more instead of just going to the next place you needed to go. There also could have been more cities in Spira.

SE had the potential to make the area of this game HUGE.
The towns could have been ALOT bigger. and a world map would have been better than straight paths.

I Would have preferred more of a wander to find little towns not just the major ones, like in the original games. Basically a zoomed out World Map mode where i could roam free E.g

I found Spira to be beautiful. I loved everything about it and it was very diverse in it's surroundings. From Dream Zanarkand and Beville to the less machnia oriented towns like Besaid where all well put together and unique. Even the Calm Lands where done nicely, I actually liked roaming the terrain there.

I do wish the world map was completely open for exploration and the airship was user controlable. But for what it is ( speaking of it being linear ) I think it was put together very nicely.

I don't think there should of been more towns though, it would of contradicted the aspect of Sin. Maybe a few more destroyed towns would of been fun to explore with a few remaining inhabitants. Over all the limited number of towns complimented the story that was involved with FFX.

Those where not "originals". You should check out some of the actual originals, you might like them better then the 3 you listed.

a bigger world would of been nicer and the chance to travel whenever wherever you want with out having to select it on a screen which i believe killed it alittle

Spira is beautifuL, just seeing the MacaLania Woods and Zanarkand, it's a reaL cLassic and magicaL pLace.. The pyrefLies give a nice effect..

and..

Spira is not that smaLL nor big neither..

If, (Square Enix) made Spira much bigger, I think, it's more harder to expLore and takes time to waLk in every corner.. I didn't had any probLem with the size of Spira.. so I say it's ok.. No need to make it bigger..

Well overall Spira was a decent place to free roam.The cities were always fun to travel through.There was plenty of people to chat with.So in my opinion Spira was a unique place,and I don't think I would change a thing.

Spira itself I thought was smaller that it could have been, and there are several things I would have liked to see in addition to what we got.

1. We never saw a city of the Ronso's. They had to have some huts or live in an ancient cave city perhaps. Something. I really wanted to get to see more of them, and maybe they could have even guarded their own temple as well.
2. Luca was tiny. I mean really, there could have been a few side quests here, a bigger town with another sidequest included in there. I'm not sure what it would be, but there wasn't a ton to do there for what was the games premier location.
3. Bevelle likewise was tiny. There was nothing to do there, and you could never go back. I would loved for there to have been a larger city to explore, and some side quests to complete, but we rarely got to experience the Vatican of Spira.
4. I actually thought there should have been more blitzball teams. 6? For the whole world? What about Djose, or the Moonflow? What about a team for Bevelle?
5. And how about a side city or two. There wasn't a town anywhere that caused you to vear off the beaten path. I was really hoping that there would have been a few other villages we got to explore, some place that had escaped Sins rath perhaps and maybe a second that lived in ruin, which leads me to
6. The fact that there weren't a whole lot of side stories to the characters. A little yes, and I loved them. Auron, Tidus, Kimarhi, and Yuna were well dealt with, but I could have gotten into Lulu's past a little more, or Wakka's childhood to explain why he personally was so devout. Perhaps one of them could have come from an outlying small town that wasn't presented in order to give us a reason to explore somewhere else. Maybe a contorted backstory that was irrelevant to the main plot that could have given the game another layer of depth.

well i thought it was great seeing as its the only place ive been in final fantasy i know it a little weird that i haven't played the others besides part 2 of x
