What Book Did You Buy Last?

I swear I have an addiction, I just bought two more books this afternoon. >.>;

The Eyes of the Dragon - Stephen King - I really hope everyone here knows who he is. Anyways, while it's not the first of his stuff that I've read, it is the first that I've bought myself.

The Tower of Shadows - Drew Bowling - Never heard of him before, liked the cover art and the back blurb. It's a debut novel and the author is a college student who started writing it in high school. Sounds familiar. =P Paolini might not have the best writing in the world, but it seems he's opening the doors for more younger writers. Better ones, hopefully.

The last books I have gotten are Betrayal, The Fall of Reach, and Twilight.

Betrayal is the first book of the Legacy of the Force Star Wars books. I have only read about half of it before I stopped reading. I forgot where I was so I'm gonna restart.><

The Fall of Reach is the first Halo book I think. And I think you all know what Twilight is. I have always wanted to read it but have never got a chance to get it.

The last book i got was.... all the halo books actualy. Fall of Reach, The Flood, First Strike, Ghosts of Onyx and Contact Harvest

I last bought some Tom Clancy novels. I have virtually the entire set of Jack Ryan novels save for Teeth of the Tiger and Red Rabbit. And I want those too!!

i just bought all of thomas harris' hannibal series: red dragon, silence of the lambs,

i just finished reading hannibal rising, and have begun to read red dragon.

The last book I bought was Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer. It's been a long time since I have been able to get into a vampire story. Ann Rice killed me on that until now. I just finished New Moon this morning. Also I'm not sure it counts but I bought the Devil May Cry novel.

Anyways, the most recent book I bought was the Metal Gear Solid novel by Raymond Benson. Basically the same storyline, but awesome nonetheless :D

The last book i brought was "Torment of the Traitor" by Ian Irvine. it is a wonderful fantasy Novel. However if you havent read the previous series some of it won't make sence but still its a great read.

Dragon Outcast by E. E. Knight - Book 3 of the Age of Fire

I'm really looking forward to reading this, as it covers the story of the crippled Copper. He's been something of an enigma in the last two books. I'm sure his story will be quite interesting.

Deepwood: Karavans #2 by Jennifer Roberson

No, I don't have the first one. The cover and the back blurb got me. I suppose now I have to go buy the previous book so I can read the one I just bought. Gah! I'm not helping myself any. XD

I cant remember the exact name of my book, but its a training, caring and raising your puppy kinda book, so dead helpful right now, and I've learnt so much already :)

I do not buy books too often, because there are a million libraries around. But I did buy The Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama two months ago or so.

I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The last two I picked up were Stephenie Meyer's "Breaking Dawn" and Margaret Mitchell's "Gone With the Wind".

The first was.. a bit of a disappointment, to be honest. It just seemed like she tried to cram too much in, but in a really wishy-washy half-baked way. It was VERY anticlimactic. Honestly, I think her books got worse as they went on.

Gone With the Wind I've not read much of yet, but I love it to death already.

The last books I bought were:

Book 1-4 of the Nightrunner Series by Lynn Flewelling
All 3 books or Lynn Flewelling's Tamir Triad Series
Tokyo Fever, an erotic novel in German :D

I do not buy books, I borrow them from the library. It's much more worth it since I read most of them only once.

Anyway, back to topic, the last book I read is The Dark Tower: The Wastelands by Stephen King. It's the third volume. Unfortunately I don't have enough time to read the remaining 4.

The story is about a group of gunslingers on their journey to the Dark Tower.

I git two new books a couple of days ago, one is called The Pact by Jodi Picoult (recommended by Mona Lisa Overdrive) its great book, and a bit sad in places with an unexpected ending aswell, and the other is called My best friends girl by Dorothy Koomson, I will be starting that to night it sounds rather sad aswell but still sounds good.

I last bought two books off of Half.com...

Twilight - I heard all the hype, and wasn't going to acknowledge it's existance... but then my friend Rachel made me buy it... I read it all in two days. I was hooked. ;!

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince - I had the complete series, but one of my ****tard friends ran off with my sixth book. So... I bought another one. My bookshelf didn't look right without it.


Also... I'm not sure if it counts, because I technically didn't buy it, but someone bought me Marilyn Manson's biography. I'm addicted to that right now, but I think after I finish this, I'm gonna go get New Moon... :D

I bought a book with a bunch of Sherlock Holmes's story and throw it away yesterday :)

I read the first two stories and get sick of it!

I went to the local bookstore up here last Friday and bought seven books :-d mostly fiction but one is called 1000 Places to see before you die In the US and Canada. :) interesting guidebook.

The last book I bought was a dream dictionary,which I find very interesting but the actual last reading book i bought was Flowers for Algernon.I dont remember the author but I read it in middle school and I wanted to read it again. i havent gotten very far in it i havent been in the mood to read lately because ive been working so much but its a great book!

Brisingr - Christopher Paolini

Sequel to Eldest, and third book in the Inheritance series, so far, I absolutely love it! Much better written that the first two. Not to mention that Paolini tells one hell of a story

I didnt even know that one was out yet! I never finished Eldest cause I couldnt get into it but since the 3rd one is finally out I may have to.

just bought Twilight yesterday!! I loved the first chapter I couldn't put it down. I just started the 2nd chapter and I can only imagine....I'm sure it only get's better.

I bought Stephen King as Richard Bachman's Thinner. It was a pretty creepy book, but it was too damn short. I got used to reading King's big novels, like The Dark Tower. That book was ****ing huge.

just picked up hannible rising. i read all the other ones and have seen the movies just never actually picked this one up. i havent started it yet due to being way busy at work and college but ill get to it soon

The Dirt... Mötley Crüe's autobiography. I got it really cheap when I was in America. It's really good. It's filled with such debauchery, that by the end of it, you're surprised that any of them are alive right now, really. It has some really interesting tales though, and some sad ones (ie: the few chapters dedicated to Vince's daughter, Skylar, dying at age four, of cancer). It's a must-read for any fan of theirs.

I purchased A Lion's Tale: Around the World in Spandex by professional wrestler, and current World Heavyweight Champion, Chris Jericho.

Recently, I grabbed the second book of the series, A Clash of Kings from A Song of Fire and Ice, by George R.R. Martin. A Clash of Kings held up some great surprises and interesting twist, along with the good writing and character development. Kind of felt a bit short though, where I assume there is more interesting things that will happen with the other sequels. I sure hope so to because now that there's dragons, I'd like to see a little magic thrown in with the battles. Otherwise I can't wait to get the other two books and then the next book, which will be coming out in 2009, I hope.

My mom also grabbed Brisingr, but I have yet to jump to it since she's reading it first, lol.

I finished Jericho's book (it was great, by the way. If you're a fan of professional wrestling, then you'll love his book.), so I decided to buy Hitman by Bret Hart, who is, as everybody already knows, the seven time world champion, and the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be.

Thats a really good book I actually own just the 3 and I started the 2nd but couldnt finish. I do not know why,maybe i feel like it drags out alot but it is a fun read maybe i'll start reading it again since the movie comes out soon :)
