It's that time of the year again. November is National Novel Writing Month, celebrated by the insanity that we now call NaNo. Originating with a group of friends ten years ago, it has since exploded into a huge event for writers across the country and beyond. The goal is to write a 50,000 word novel in one month. No editing, no drafting. Just good old fashioned butt-in-chair, hands-on-keyboard, type like your life depends on it fun.

So, I'm all signed up and preparing for November 1st. Is anyone else going to participate? I've known of it for some years now but this is my first time actually attempting it. I don't even have any idea of what I'll be writing yet. There's still time to work it out so I'm not too worried. If it comes to it, I'll just write off the top of my head, which could prove interesting in itself.
