Yeah...I got a little confused near the end of that post as well...im sorry, I wouldn't have said anything if Acheron hadn't. I thought you would have got mad or something, but thanks for clearing that up. Reminds me of the whole earthquake splitting a building in half, I like it and it gives me a bunch of good ideas. Oh and can I ask a question? Im sure it happened but I don't wanna write and sound stupid, did the lights go out and things explode like fires and such?

There weren't any major explosions; the beam was more of a cutting/disintegrating type of energy and there weren't any flammable objects apparently. The lights went off in some sections, in a few work, and in others keep blinking.

I will try to make a really cool post tomorrow. I've been hitting a block of sorts, and I am starting to come down with something, so please don't think I'm neglecting this RP by any means! ps. I'm pretty much an RP noob so I have to spend extra time in MS word to sound like I know what I'm talking about, so don't expect awesome quality posts out of me every 24 hours.

I'm not mad at all. I'll do what I can to clarify any possible misunderstanding.
I presume you are referring to the "New Objective Added" note at the end of my post. The objective is very simple: every player (saving Xeim, who's except) has one week -real time- to make at least one post (or any number they prefer) to detail how they get out of the underground facility all our characters started in. There are two reasons for this. The first reason is IC: the facility has taken heavy damage, it might or might not collapse, Horowitz was trying to get out, the place isn't safe---as you can see, there's several reason for wanting to get out. The second reason is OOC: we have too many players at the moment and I'm trying to weed out the ones who are active, from the ones who aren't.
Of course, I won't be restricting any courses of action. If your character wants to stay in the damaged underground base, so be it. Post it up, and we'll talk about what will/might happen.
Please don't feel restricted as far as posting material goes. Right now, with the recent mayhem going on, you can be as close to the group as you want, as far away, as hurt, as safe or unsafe as you want your character to be. It's your choice. I believe with the recent change of events I've given the opportunity to form smaller parties for whoever wants to do so, and enough freedom to go about as you please without having to blindly follow the party "just because".
Also, I'm beginning to slowly unravel some of the factions and key members of this plot arc. Just because your character lost her memory doesn't mean the world stopped for her. There's a lot to be discovered, not only about yourself, but about the world you have for some reason forgotten about.
Sorry for the confusion that came from my question before. Hopefully more doesn't come from this one as well.
So whether the hall was cut in half from the beam or not, I'm still facing the side that has the elevators. Well at least in theory, since IX has sealed that pathway. My question is, are the elevators still working? And if so, would one have free access to any of the floors?
Alright then off to the outside world I guess! Though im sure we'll have to stop as soon as we get out of the facility because we don't know what the world looks like obviously.

Oh and Xeim wanted me to tell you at one point before she left that we can control her character a little bit. Just to move her along with the story. Thought I would tell you that though she really wanted Omnitense to do it! XD

Also, Fehrant...Major question time:
My next post assumes that my character had her powers for a long time before she became encapsulated in this facility. Is this true? Or did these powers develop in this institute? I'm toying with my char's origins and in so doing, I would need to know if she was normal or had her powers. She'll have "unique" origins anyway, but I don't want to disrupt the flow, plot or point of the RP.
Plus, what does the outside look like? Is it desert, arboreal, a grassland, tundra..ect...

It depends. If the elevators were in close proximity (which considering the size of the beam they probably were) I'd surmise they would not be working. Though I'm thinking if there was a conveniently placed elevator that would easily take you to the surface, what would the fun of that be? Let's assume they stopped working, eh? At least the ones closeby.

Good question, Omni, though I'd keep my answers a bit vague so as to not reveal much of the plot. You weren't born with your powers; somewhere along your childhood from the moment you turned 15 they were given to you, but not in the traditional sense of "here, take a flying pill". More like being injected with something that triggers latent powers that have to do with how the person is. Take Number II for instance: before his powers, he would've most likely been a big, tough guy already, so it made sense for him to attain superstrength.
As far as the world outside... have you played any game from the Fallout series? The world outside -at least the "outside" of the facility; perhaps farther on it might proved to be different- is like a post-apocalyptic version of its former self. Empty cities, desolated buildings, cars laying empty in the middle of the street... basically, the sort of thing you would expect after an atomic bomb hit the city, though that's not the case. Though the base is a bit far off the closest city, it's only a walk away. You'll see it as soon as you come up.
Any more questions let me know. I'll try to answer as I can.

And actually the method of obtaining those powers that you described works perfectly with what I had intended...and shouldn't cause any disruptions. And no worries I'll be careful with the plot and make the tension hold. Promise. ^^ I just didn't want to start a thread of background for my character if I couldn't follow it to the end without bunching up the plot.

Everyone remember you're wearing patient's robes and are bare-footed. It might draw some attention, that is, if you do run into people. Finding clothes might prove difficult in the facility (unless you steal someone's), but outside that's a different case.

Fehrant. I have a question to ask. Theoretically there would be more people in the 'bedroom' you are going to find me in. Would I be able to have 2 NPC's of my own to fight with and kill off? Or would that be too complicated?
Well, right now we have too many players, and I would suggest not to. However, if you insist, I don't mind the extra NPCs as long as they are under the same conditions the rest are in (don't know who they are, aren't sure how to use their powers, don't know much about the current situation, etc).
Its not so much insistance as erm... A personal need. I just want these people in it. Oh, they'll have the same conditions, they also wont last all that long. They were always planned out in my head to die.
They'll probably die within 4 or 5 posts of mine. If not sooner.

Everyone: Number III just found a room with people with powers like your characters. Already two people showed interest in wanting to control some NPCs, so anyone else interested can go ahead. Right now we have several players, and I would rather not have everyone of the players with two or three NPCs, but it's your call. If it gets out of hand, though, I'll start killing them off.
Hyzenthlay, I read your post about the characters, and I'm ok with the replication one, but the other one I gotta make two comments: first, the age. There's a reason why I specified the age between 15-25; while there could be some exceptions, would you mind changing the age?
Second, the power. As long as he isn't able to create a huge dark-hole-sucking-everything-in-its-wake-end-of-world type of vortex and the "bullets" aren't actually as fast as an actual bullet, it should be fine.
Also, both of you new players, a note: the numbers I-XV assigned to the players were completely arbitrary and don't have any particular importance other than being able to reference someone who doesn't even know his name. Because both of your characters weren't around when the numbers were being assigned and hence have no way to know (no metagaming, please), you'll have to find a way to refer to your characters/NPCs.
Number III passed out. Don't take control of her.

Heh, I'm starting to notice multi-language diversity here. Interesting, though all characters manage to speak english just fine. It adds an interesting element to the plot: while the setting is America, not everyone appears to be american.
Ok, I wanted to write a sort of self-aid post. There are indeed lots of subplots going on, and of course a main plot that is slowly being revealed. This might be overwhelming for some people, so I thought I would throw a few pointers and make some comments.
There's some background story to the current plot as some of you were able to tell. There are factions, note-worthy characters, and a world outside the facility that doesn't appear to be in good shape. The details of these are slowly being revealed.
Moreover, your character doesn't know who he is... but he wasn't born yesterday. He certainly was someone before he lost his memory which considering the collective memory loss it would be very logical to conclude this is no coincidence. This "blank" state of your character gives you a lot of room to shape your character. You can shape him accordingly as the plot unfolds, or you can have a set idea about your character and slowly get closer to that idea. The choice is yours.
Additionally, my RPing style involves presenting a situation and having characters react to it however they want. I will not make your character "tag along" just because very often. So it's up to you how you want to get involved. If you are afraid you might spoil the plot, or are not sure if I'm ok with what you're about to do, simply ask OOC or send me a PM and we'll work it out together.
