The battles of Haven: OOC

Wow, talk about a blast from the past heh. Not really, I just felt the need to say that. Me and Toph were just talking about this RP recently. Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not. Either way, I'd be interested in bringing Haven back from the brink of death.

I think before we all jump in and start posting like madmen (and women), we should all go back and read from the beginning, then maybe do some planning on where we'd like to go from the point where we stopped. Just my suggestion of course, I'm willing to continue either way.

I'm willing to continue either way. And no, it's not a coincidence. I told Hyz about our discussion of it, and how I thought the Echo was a shite idea anyway. Turns out it was her brother's idea, not hers. But yeah.

Everything else was fine except for Echo popping out of nowhere.

I wanted to revive it anyway, I told you that Toph. Also, my brother DID use Echo Zel as his new name, was fairly obvious he had some connection. Wouldnt say I didnt think it was initially a good idea because I did, but my brother can tell me anything and make it sound great to me.

Yeah DH, we'll talk about it. I think I should just delete my post. It wasn't a good one at all and it seems far more rushed than my others...

Timing being essence, and the main fault here, this simply won't work out unless Lady Luck decides to smile upon us. New RP or old, the issue will remain.

Fehrant, if what you mean is the time of year I dont think me, you, Toph or DH have been particulaly tied up as of now. I could be wrong. That says to me that this is the perfect time, all of us here, untied and willing. With the possible exception of yourself.

Anyway, I'll delete my post now then I'll post some idea's when I get home.

What I'm referring to is active posting. I mean, notice how the idea to revive this RP started on the 21st of last year. A month has gone by, and yet not much has happened. This is what I mean by timing.

Ah, but I'd post more if there were something to post about. Having an Rp to post in would be far better than coming on to an empty mailbox and a handful of general chat posts such as "3 words" and stuff. I spend most my time on here staring at the screen these days.

I've been meaning to RP for some time now. Why don't we start anew, and make an effort to post every now and then? Or would that be too much to ask?

No, it wouldnt but I'm not giving in any more idea's. So I'll join if one of you lot post up, I cant be bothered to create a whole new Rp during exam time. I can post, yeah, but I cant spend hours creating maps and full kingdoms like I did in this RP.

If DH and Toph are up for it, I changed my points and I want you both to mail me with whatever you want to happen and your character plans. Please.

I want to clarify that by starting anew, I mean a new RP. If this were to be the case, I wouldn't mind being the one writing it, or managing the plot. Then again, if everyone participating in it doesn't make a prior commitment to posting, I don't think it'll be worth the effort, considering the state of inactivity this section is in.

Although if we were talking about what will most likely happen, I think we would be better off moving on to something else instead of wasting time. I am willing to make one last bet, however.

We're gonna have to start over. Even if we do have the original I can't just continue with Fehrants character. She had a major impact on what happened to mine too.

Hmmmm, yeah. Some of the other people aren't that hard to miss-out. Others will be hard as hell. Like I said to DH Fehrant had a massive impact on my char.

If you think it will be too hard we were debating drafting in other RPers. It'd have to be the more experianced ones, though.

We can pull it off how we are. After all all we do is change parts of the original story. Tweak them a bit.

Fehrants character was the one who picked me up in the port after the Falcon went down. He also flew the ship which I escaped custody on.

EDIT: The opening post is up. I'm not sure how it compares to last time but I did the best I could from memory. I guess the story will change a bit as we go, what with a few of teh others not participating. Should be fun.

Ah I'm sorry for my vanishing. As I posted on another thread, my work schedule did not afford me the time to be able to contribute here. Not fun working the late hours of the night, then getting three hours of sleep, and then heading to grad school. Makes it even less fun when filling out arrest reports for lovely NYC tourists.

The funny thing is, we talked about reviving this, and she went through the trouble of posting it up again, but nobody posted in it. It's been dead for five months.

Musicmuse probably left again. Lol. I just don't know how to respond to the post, really. I've forgotten how my character Shino is. I might make a new one, I don't know.

Well, I'll be far more active from now on and though I've said that in the past, I know for certain I'll have the time now. I honestly don't remember my character much, but I'd be willing to put a few posts down and see where this ends up.

The great thing about dead threads is that they're only dead until someone posts in them. I do plan on posting, I'm just waiting to sort out an obligation I've had for the past six months that is making it extremely difficult for me to get anything done. Another week or so and I should be able to start writing RP posts again.

Vicky, your character and mine were close as siblings. I noticed that reading the original parts of the thread brought some of the memories back. I don't intend on copying Drake exactly since (hopefully) my ability has improved since then, but even a vague impression is a good starting point.

Yeah. I don't have access to the original posts, so I can't get any memories back, but I did remember the sibling part at least, and I know what she looks like and stuff.

..Oh. Wait. There it goes. I think she's... mostly soft spoken and such. She might not be the exact same as she was before, but it'll be close enough.

Well I mean, even the original part of the OOC thread. I don't have the original RP either. :( Such a shame. But at least everything can be rewritten in this type of situation.
