Yeah, I'll just track Skye down. It's more stealthy and fun that way. ^_^
    So that way you can post and stuff. I won't be able to post early today, though. I have stuff to do. -_-;

Maybe this evening or later in the afternoon, I hope.

Edit: Well. I posted. Shorter than intended, but oh well. A post is a post.

Discussing with Urumi we came upon the following concern: if gunpowder is uncommon, what exactly goes on in ship vs. ship battles? Considering it's midair, relying on jumping into someone else's boat seems somewhat dangerous.

Yeah, we're not using Rune cannons from Suikoden, are we?
    Because then that would be two different worlds. >>;

  6. #96
Well, I'm sure with the level of machine knowledge and industrial progress that Haven is supposed to have they would have come up with an alternative to cannons, or just a cannon that works in a completely different way.

It's not Haven is unadvanced, they just advanced without relying on or using guns. Who says they don't have gunpowder? Maybe they just call it something different and foolishly don't use it to invent guns, haha.

I'm sure Aimee can clear this one up, though.

In regards to Urumi and Fehrants chat- Im thinking older things such as ballistas and such. =] They require no gunpowder heh. So in a way musicmuse is correct. I also think that the "Ballista's" will be more advanced, perhaps iron or something, im not sure I've been pondering it. In fact, I will make them be kind of like magic orientated. So the ballistas can explode on impact and have different effects like that. =]

Im so sorry for being like absent for a day or so. My sister is going through alot of operations and I'm trying to juggle the stress of that and visiting her alongside work and college coursework. My life is a little hectic atm. Just thought I'd fill you guys in.

    Thanks, Aimee.

I also apologize for being absent for the last few days, I just got through an eight-day work week, including a holiday, and I am dead tired eh. Depending on how I feel later, I should be catching up and writing my next post either tonight or sometime tomorrow. I have the next five days off so I'll have plenty of time to put into this.

I'm working on my next post, but I just need to know something really quick --

Are you all planning on coming to Reesa soon? If so, I'll make Valeria's stay seem more permanant. Just wondering!! Thanks!

Uhm.. only if I have to. I have a little plan with Fehrant that he's working on, though he also wants everyone participating in it, so...who knows.

Yeah.. You always seem to do that, eh? Lol.
    I remember in Fehrant's RP that you were all the way on the other side of the coast. -_-;

Try thinking up of some way to get here. Get a mission or something for pete's sake.

    Fehrantr has a plan eh?
Hmmmm, well I know where my character is supposed to be heading.
If Fehrants planning to get to Argosa he wont be able to.

As for you Archeron, I have a way for you to get back in and I'll message you telling you. Its kinda mixed in with Musicmuse' posts and the plot there, it affects you so I'll tell you.

    Thanks, Aimee.

Well, it's not like I have something solid at the moment, but I thought I could have Kaysha go to Lord Ramirez' docks to recover her confiscated ship (Firewanker), which will eventually need a crew, and I considered the main character eventually becoming the new crew. Just an idea that crossed my mind.

We'll do that. I do believe that most of us are waiting on DragonHeart now, so I'll plan the storyline more thouroughly untill then.

Sorry for the delay, I had some RL stuff to take care of and didn't have a proper amount of time to invest into this so I held back from posting until now.

Anyways, as I mentioned in my post, Drake recognizes Kaysha. He's never met her personally, but due to their backgrounds, he's probably had run-ins with her ship before. Whether or not she recognizes Drake is up to you of course Fehrant, and if you'd rather I not have previous contact with her I can easily leave that part out.

It makes perfect sense that officials, or people in general will recognize Kaysha Ral'Antar. I don't mind.

I can't go without posting a pointless post that doesnt say much and I'd rather not simply post for the hell of it. So everyone feel free to post up and stuff without me untill Shino comes back for me.

Well, neither would any of us. But there's hardly anything to do.
So I guess if Fehrant and DH don't mind, I'll just put all the conversation into my post so we can get going. >.>

And what do you plan to do after Shino comes to get you?

After Shino comes to get me I have to flee obviously, im eiteh rplanning a run in with the armada and a miraculous escape from their jurisdiction or we will slip by un-noticed thanks to DH. ATM it all boils down to what happens with you 3. =], then I plan on getting to Musicmuse to involve her with the group, so teh festival and safety is my main priorites.

    By the way, Aimee.

...Who's fleet is that surrounding us? Would it be safe to assume it's Ramirez?
And how small is the Raino Island anyway... can we see the fleet from anywhere?

...When are you going to reveal who it is, anyway? >.>

Hmmm, Fehrant is going to need to edit his post firstly. The ships arnt seiging, just preventing my escape. As for who they are, they are Ramirez's fleet that has moved in to 'protect' Valarai whilst Lawrences fleet are away. The fleet surrounding Raino isnt a secret one, its under authority and isnt covert at all. All teh covert missions will be shown as the masked man leading.

I'll reveal it later when I reach Dro-Tal.

    Thanks, Aimee.

He doesn't have to edit his post. That's how his character interprets their presence.

Out of Character knowledge is a no-no, after all. So telling Fehrant to edit his post to say something that his character doesn't know is invalid. So...yeah.

And oh, he said besieging, not sieging. besieging can mean "crowd around" or "surround". So he has it correct anyway. =P

He said directly taht they were besieging it, that seemed to me to mean attacking, it seemed like a slightly heavier word than was needed, thats all.

And to correct you, seiging means to surround, besieging just means in the process of conducting the action, heh. English students make idiots of themselves. ~points to self~

Out of character knowledge isnt what I asked him to use. It just seemed from his post, to me at least, that more action was being taken than there just being a wall of ships there. I just wanted that changing to save confusion, at very least on my part.

I can post again soon then, I can mention that you are coming now. Good stuff, heh.

    Thanks, Aimee.

Uhm. I'm not the incorrect one here. You are.
I used the freaking dictionary on that one, love. And the dictionary said that besieging meant to 'crowd around'. (One of its definitions.)

But whatever. I won't argue with you. Let's just get the RP rollin'.

Ha ha. I shall use a dictionary also then... hang on.

    Besiege- Lay seige to.
Siege- n. surrounding and blocking of a place by armed forces, in order to capture it.
As referance I used oxford popular dictionary and thesaurus.

I dont argue, and im not wrong.

And I wasnt disputing what Fehrant said, you brought that up yourself. I simply said he needed to change it because of what it sounded like. You'r ethe one telling me I dont know what words mean.

Besides, all the words Fehrant put are nouns, which is a "doing" word. Which I do believe I said was what besieging meant, "process of conducting" or "doing" it...
    Where as,
    http://www.askoxford.com/concise_oed/siege?view=uk
Is teh explanation of the act to siege, as in when its done.

Anyway, like you said, lets get going. I'll post now. It seems we have all characters meeting in the not too distant future. =]
    I'll post right away.

    Thanks, Aimee.
