My confusion about Cait sith

Ok so what the hell, he's a robot controled by shinra,
is that just the White bit of him. Is the cat...a real cat(type person) lol because when shinra gets blown up and all that surly the guy controlling him would have given up, and like in AC he's justthe cat bit...

I might have misses the bit in the game that explains this but I was hopeinh some one would clarafy

or give there ideas behind it

Technically, Cait Sith is a cat robot controlled by Reeve, and Reeve wants to help the Planet. So even when ShinRa got "blown up", Reeve still had the desire to help out any way he could, and one of the methods he chose was to keep using Cait Sith. I'm not sure why we never see the oversized moogle that he was riding in all the other appearances of Cait Sith.

From what I've read and replayed these past couple days. Reeve controls Cait Sith mentally, and by mentally I mean commands. Since the Cat and the Moogle are apparently alive beings but also stated that Reeve controls them or the cat only. I'm still not sure on that one, maybe he tells the cat to tell the Moogle to do stuff.

Cos in advent children, he's just the cat. Mabie the shinra guy only controlled the White puppet bit, then just died or summit leaving the self living cat with the group lol

I see it more like, Reeve controlled the Cat, telling the Cat, to control the Stuffed Moogle. That what I think at least.

Also if you have played FF DoC you would know for certain that Cait Sith is the Cat only. The moggle was more expendable then the cat section.

Also it gives a little more insite to the motives of Reeve. Plus there is also the added bonus that you actualy get to play soley as Cait Sith. Ultimately though he is 1000X weaker when not riding on the Mog robot and shouting out commands via a mega phone.

Ok so Reeve was one of the higher ups in Shinra right? And he survived the explosion or he didn't? That's the confusing part for me, is he still controlling Cait in the things that occur in AC or is that the cat acting on it's own. Killer accent too on that cat lol

Reeve is still controlling Cait Sith which I'm pretty sure was made clear in DoC (last FFVII game chronologically), though it's been at least a year since I last played.
I'm not even sure Cait Sith can go rogue as Reeve controls it directly.

The "Fat white thing" can be a c*ck joke, but to clear things up:
It's a Mog doll. FF always has to have Moogles or a Moogle reference, like the Cid thing, and Cait Sith by himself was too small to really be effective by himself. So, two birds one stone, Moogle reference and amp up Cait Sith.
*Mog was the Moogle who was a playable character in FFVI for those who don't know

Reeve is on Vacation. If you remember during the beginning of the game of FFVII, the old President tells Reeve to take some days off. Now I'm not sure how much time he took off.

"You're tired. Why don't you take a couple of days off and go

I have never liked Cait Sith. He is a bitch in battle, and annoying out of battle.

I always thought that Reeves used some kind of mind control telepathy bullshit on it. Hmm maybe i'm wrong.

Kisuke, he does control is mentally. Cait Sith has amazing HP, I find him a great battle mage type build for him. Also I remember him being present during the time Scarlet tells Rufus about the Huge Materia, so he can transmit to the party as well.

Not sure if this is what exactly inspired the creators when they came up with Cait Sith, but there's a tale in Scottish mythology of a creature called Cat Sith, who was a large black cat with a white spot on it's chest.

So that's my little assumption as to why Cait Sith speaks with a Scottish accent.

My guess was that Reeve didn't want to take the time off, and wanted a hand in on something going on. Hence why he stayed in on the action in the form of Cait Sith.

Been a while since I've played, but that's how I think it went.

I think he is only on Vacation up until you go to Cosmo Canyon, later in the game you see him in the ShinRa conference rooms.

The robot Cait Sith is controlled by Reeve, who, aslong as Caith Sith is present(atleast,) is not on vacation. Reeve controlling Cait Sith is him working for Shinra, up until he turns on them at the end of the ToA part(ff7!) (yah, both the cat and the fat white thingy are robots!)

^ No. He didn't die. Cait Sith is a robot, so when one of the models is destroyed for whatever reason, a new model takes it's place.
