Getting Experience Points after Level 70?

Why the **** are you leveling past 70 in the first place?

For me, it just sort of happens because I mostly fight battles to gain that precious AP so my materia can level up and I eventually get Master materia. I like seeing all those stars maxed out.

This thread has been really helpful. The guy who said middeel isnt totally wrong. Right after you get the airship go to the jungle and whack some baddies. its great for around lvl 40 -60 and your materia masters pretty kwik(considering its not already).

I remember getting to level 99 in the sunken sub without realising there are better places.
