Do you mean wear all the mana machines are blocking your path in the town I remember the part but my mind it hazy...

First off you have to a shop (item shop I beleive) and fight a guy that is standing in the corner. All you have to do is steal and the battle is over. Go to the old mans house that wants cider, then you have to go down stairs and exit from there. Next make your way through the city and make it to the tavern / accessories shop. Go through the bar and down stairs there will be a guy down there you can take his wine.

Next go back to the old man, he will give you the chance to talk to his grand daughter, you will have to pick from 3 options. If you get it correct then you will have access to a secret passage that takes you to the north west corner of town.

You then have to go into that house and make your way through it and find Celes.

Steal the key from the guard.

Go to the basement of that house and you can exit town through another series of tunnels.

Also there is a help thread for each game, should use them instead of making a new topic.
