    Blue Magic List

Ok during my trip through this game I would like to collect the blue magics. However I went to gamefaqs.com and couldn't find a list for the Playstation version of this game. Is there anyone here that could verify the list from gamefaqs or possibly has a list of there own that they could verify to be true. I am at Shiva in world 1 and I only have 1 Blue Magic and that is Frog Dance or whatever it's called. I'm just not seeing who I have to get them from as they don't always use the attacks and I need to control them to get them to use it on me.

So from which monsters can I get all the Blue Magics from?

    Thanx

    Cobain

Well fuck me, that was very damn well done there Loco.

But just to confirm something for Cobain, the PSX version of FF5 has little to no changes as far as bestiary goes.. so the names you see on the SNES FAQ's would (in most cases) be the same as the PSX. Well, atleast in meh Anthology (EURO) its hardly any different.
    SPOILER!!:

Ok well of course I greatly appreciate this list. However I am down to my final few Blue Magics and I'm having some trouble to which maybe someone could give me some advice on.

    I still need:

    Lvl 2 Old
    Lvl 3 Flare
    Mind Blast
    Aero 3
    Condemned
    Roulette
    Guardian

The problems I am having are with Aero 3, Lvl 2 Old, and Lvl 3 Flare.

I have tried looking and I couldn't find the Neogigas around the Library of Ancients and the Ultragigas didn't have it when I controlled him in the Barrier Tower, and didn't use it on his own while uncontrolled. So I still have no clue as to who has Aero 3.

I ran into the LevelTrippers in Barrier Tower and it said they had Lvl 2 Old, yet they would never cast it and while controlled the game will not let me select my characters as targets for the Lvl modifier spells.

Therefore I couldn't get the Red Dragons to cast Lvl 3 Flare on me either.

Any suggestions regarding these three blue magics?

I even tried going with 3 to all characters within the level specifications and the computer still chose other attacks instead.

lol, I might actually go and try to get these myself now since blue mages were the only jobs I never really bothered with in V.

Anyway, it's been along time since I've played but... I can certainly remember all those spells, Aero 3, Lv 2 Old and Lv 3 Flare being used against me at some point (and especially roulette, I used to get that one all the time).

Anyway, if you have a tamer in your group then yeah, good for most spells. However, some spells are blocked against allies (like the Lv 2 Old). Best thing I can reccomend is that you either simply wait -ages- for your chosen monster to attack.... or you could try maybe using some kind of loophole.... but i'd have to try it out for myself before I post it. It may not work.

(will edit it in when I figure it out)

You get hit by it with learning equipped. They have to hit the Person that has learning. Its also much easier to learn Blue Magic by controlling That monster and making it hit you. also, to Blue Magic Hunters, Blue Magic

And I can't get the LvlTrippers to cast L.5 Doom on me
How far away are the Executor enemies from the Barrier Tower part of the game?

    Hello, I received your email.

In order to get those Blue Magic spells you need a Trainer and a White Mage in your party as well, or secondary abilities of those classes assigned. You also need learning equipped of course.

Lvl 5 Doom wasn't even on my difficult list because I'm sure someone did cast it on me. However you need to level up a White Mage and get the spell Reflect, you then need to cast it on the enemy before/after they are controlled by the trainer, then you will only be able to cast Level 5 Doom on the enemy but it will reflect back and hit your party. It was the same way I had to get Level 3 Flare and Level 2 Old.

There is an FAQ on gamefaqs for all the monsters that have the Blue Magic, but you want to get it as soon as possible and never pass a section if you're at the last place you can get it in the game, or you won't have a chance to get it at all.

It's been so long ago, probably 4 years or more since I perfected this game, so I can't remember much more, but I know that strategy worked for those odd Level spells of Blue Magics. If you're in the tower and trying to get it, leave the tower and level up a character until you can get/have Reflect, as well as a Trainer until you have CTRL! or Control. You'll need them.

    Hope this helps.

EDIT: Damn Reflect isn't for sale. It appears in Moore Village along with Cure3. That explains why I don't have it. Oh well, I'll have to wait for the Executors in Solitary Island Temple. Or get the Hydra summon from theives hideout.
Would I be able to go back to the RockStatue ABP farm spot after World 2?

Okay thanks! That's exactly what I was thinking...

But are you sure Reflect is available for me at this point of the game? It's the Barrier Tower before Zeza dies and you fight Atomos.
I've never seen it in the shops or anything. I'll have another look.
