Well congrats.
You know they say the DS version is alot harder than the original so I guess that only makes you better. I just recently started playing it and its a good game isn't it?
Did you ever get much into the use of Aguments?
(This post contains spoilers!)
Really good game! Rydia has got to be one of the coolest characters out of all FFs. Her return was so awesome and epic! Anyways, just wanted to let everyone know!
Well congrats.

Ya, I had my characters loaded with augments, so much in fact that I had to put the Attack command on the auto battle slot.
FF IV has to be one of the harder DS games out there, so congrats!
And yeah, Rydia is awesome.
I actually had some of the crappiest augment setups my first playthrough, due to being ignorant of how the system worked -- I thought it was wonderous that I finally beat the game yesterday. It took 10 levels of grinding before I could handle the final dungeon (everyone was in the middle 70s, and I gave Cecil the HP +50% Augment) though.
Zeromus was a disappointment to me, considering I thought he was hard as hell in Advance.
I remember my playthrough. I didn't use the Augments well at all. I didn't know to equip on all the characters to get hidden augments later.
As for the game itself, it was pretty hard... although I don't recall ever dying... maybe I just level-grinded a lot. I remember getting to Level 60 in the Eblan caves... I think I was Level 80 by the end of the game. Even then, the final boss gave me a hard time. o_O But still, this game is fantastic, actually... even more so now that its harder.

Level 60 by Eblan? I was 65 by the time I finished the Giant of Babil.
It's VERY easy to level up in the DS version. Enemies give a WHOLE lot of Exp... but hardly any Gil. I remember having only 500,000 by the end of the game...

lol i had like 200K that I blew on sirens. I ended up with 600K after using the crap out of gil farmer augments.
Great game, pretty hard at times. As mentioned above level grinding, definitely the correct route in this game. Not sure what level I was by the end but it was rather high. It was also one of the easier FF games to level grind, made it a fun easy at times, but still hard games.....
Is there any way to get the DS version without, well ... a DS? I don't want to buy another entire portable system for the one or two games I'd play on it.

The only other way I see without getting a DS, is trying emulation, I suppose. But I never really looked into one for the DS, and from what I looked up, there are almost no good-working ones, anyway...

And FF4 DS doesn't work on an emulator.
Well done!
Im stuck trying to get Edward...Yes Edward.
The gameplay was set back to the original difficulty when they recreated it. So naturally im stuck and cant do anything about it. UGH <<
So I'm new, maybe you should welcome me?
