I'll be honest, but people won't get me...
In the face of the brilliance of NBC(which I should adore according to cliche, creed and subculture) and whatever genius people attribute to any of his other works... I liked...
Gremlins...
*shrugs* It was maniacal, unforgiving, gleeful, and demonic. I felt evil every time I heard it and you can't help but smile at it.

He's kinda got nothing bad so it's tough to say. I love his work and overall I'd say the original Batman score along with all of Nightmare Before Christmas seeing as he wrote an entire music and sang it, plus piano which is all very impressive. More than anything though I don't have to look at the name to know who it is since his sound is very distinct. Just as I suppose all composers are but if you hear a high pitched jingle or triumphant horns I can bet you my bottom dollar it's Elfman.
i would say nightmare before christmas is my favorite. the fact that he did the singing for jack skellington was just awesome. thats dedication lol
My favorite work by Danny Elfman was when he was with Oingo Boingo. Mostly in their later years, when they moved out of the kinda slow, poppy new wave stuff, and got more into alternative rock. The live version of "We Close Our Eyes" is amazing, and "Out of Control" is another good song. "Just Another Day" is also one of my favorite songs ever. Not to say that the more New Wave type stuff wasn't good, too; Elevator Man, Weird Science, and Dead Man's Party were also a lot of fun.
His non-Oingo Boingo work, I'd probably have to go with Nightmare Before Christmas on. Or, possibly the score he wrote to Tim Burton's Batman. The man's a genius. Anyhoo...

I love all his music from all of Tim Burton's movies, especially Edward Scissorhands and Nightmare Before Christmas. I just think the guy's so good at creating music that's perfect for Burton's films.
Well, I'm not a huge fan of Danny Elfman, because he's associated with many Tim Burton projects, and I don't like anything that has to do with bad movies. So on that note, since I have no problem with Les Mayfield and his mediocre movies, I choose the music from Flubber (yes, it was composed by Danny Elfman.)
im also not a hauge fan of danny elfman, or atleast his work with tim burton.
i did like the music he composed for red dragon though, very scary.
