I am an underground person. I love harcore/emo/screamo/metal music, and I love to talk about music with other people. So come one people, if you like the same kinda music, lets talk about it!

There isnt one hardcore, emo or screamo band on that list.
Theres a few Metalcore bands, other than that just a few pop bands.

Took the words right out of my mouth. 90% of those bands aren't really that underground. Hell, I'd give you more credibility if you listed at least bands like Dillenger Escape Plan, Alexisonfire or boysetsfire.

You're retarded! None of those are pop, and only like 3 are metalcore! Underoath is screamo, FFTL is emo. Rise Against is hardcore! Man get your music straight!
Yeah, they aren't underground. AlexisOnFire is pretty awesome, I like the song .44 Calibur Love Letter from them. I haven't heard to much of Dillinger Escape Plan, but I have heard of them.

And isn't Underoath considered "screamo?" But I'd definitely agree that Fall Out Boy has no place on a "hardcore" poll.

Anyhoo... I don't really listen to any of those bands, regularly. Underoath, Rise Against, and Box Car Racer are the ones I'm most interested in, as I've heard them and liked them. Although apparently Between Buried and Me is supposed to be good too, so maybe I'll check them out sometime. I don't think I've ever heard of any of those other bands.

...actually, in all honesty, what the hell; I like some Fall Out Boy, too.

See, Fall Out Boy is kinda hardcore though. You have to listin to there full album. They scream, and they scream a lot. And Pretty good screaming too. I just put them on the poll, becuase I was only drawing names from my head.

I am sorry, but if you mistake a band for another band, you don't really know music. I doubt you have ever even sat down and listined to a full Rise Against album.

Lmao, I'm actually sure he was thinking of a much better band called "Rise Against the Machine". But for one thing if you like ALL of those bands YOU seriously don't know music. I like few mainstream bands, like some of us do, but that's about it. Also, David here knows a lot more about music than you ever will. I'll agree he's annoying at times, but he definitely is not an idiot.

There are too many young kids here who think they know music, but are just like every other dipshit of this generation. If you want to know music get back to it's roots and don't eat everything MTV tries to feed you.

Seariously, you don't even know me. So yeah. I do go back to the roots. I don't listin to that MTV bullshit ethier. Like I said before too, those are only bands that came from the top of my head. He wasn't thinking of Rage Against the machine ethier, it says in a different thread, that he was thinking of Against Me. Against Me isn't even music too!

PS. the underoath album isnt even close to pop, or screamo..its straight up hardcore. touring with the bled and norma jean has done these boys good.
and fftl new album is all, emo,screamo,hardcore,metal...mixed into one. its amazing.

Actually, emo was an offshoot of punk in the mid-80's.

Oh and looking at that list, you prove you don't know jack about hardcore, not trying to flame you or anything the only band there that seems remotely hardcore is Rise Against! But I have never heard them...

Real hardcore = Minor Threat, Sick of it All, h2o, Agnostic Front etc... Well to be honest I got bored of it ages ago when Gaybread came out and Wiggered it up. I'd stick to old school punk if I were you.

Oh and Devil is pretty much right, the roots are important in understanding any genre of music.

Ya, I was reading the band list and was questioning how most of them are considered Hardcore lol. We have a lot of Hardcore bands around here.
Rise Against can been hardcore if you want. and Sorry for posting in this after so long, I saw hardcore and had to check this out.
