In my opinion they are the best contemporary metal band. They get stick for their perceived persona and supposedly abrasive sound but the melodies they do are just unbelievable in some songs. Best song has to be either Duality or My Plague. Perfect music to listen to when you are pissed off.

I was very disappointed with their newest album, because I love Slipknot. Their first 3 are amongst my favourites ever, but their new one didn't really have the 'Slipknot' sound. As much as people bash the 'Nu-Metal' movement, quite frankly I loved them as a 'Nu-Metal' band.
As for my favourite songs, they would have to be Duality, Pulse Of The Maggots, Wait And Bleed and The Heretic Anthem.
