I have been a Skid Row fan for pretty much my whole life, im not old enough to have ever experience Sebastian Bach, but what im wondering..
Is Skid Row in your opinion as good, as without Bach or with Johnny Solinger.
I have seen Skid about a two three dozen times and i firmly believe that they are okay without him, but are there any die hard fans who has seen Skid with and without him?
My father and i discuss thiss, and he believes that people just don't give them a chance without Bach.. but yeah...start a thread here..
whose better
any supporting comments on that
and
why
Haven't listened to them since Bach left. Slave to the grind is awesome! Every song!!
Why do you say taht out of curiousity?
In my opinion, i believe SR became what it was not only because of their music, but because of Bach's negative publicity. Would you agree with that? Im not 100% sure on how they became famous, i really wanna get someone elses opinion.
Bach was badass..

..and generally a good singer(my favorite song by him.)

Plus, people tend to like the first singer of a band. When the singer leaves, it's a little rare for the band to be just as good as it was.. or in some cases, better than before.
Skid Row without Sebastian is like a hot fudge sunday without the Ice cream. Sure it's good but not as good.
Lawlz Sephy so Smaht!!
This is where my name comes from for anyone who cares. Btw please don't get the wrong idea. I love Final Fantasy more than any other game series in the whole world.

While I am a HUGE Skid Row fan (I have seven of their songs uploaded on my Youtube channel, and I have all their albums and DVDs in my heavy metal collection.), most of my friends and relatives don't even know who Skid Row is these days. It's just sad that the band lost its popularity after they fired Bach. I still don't know why they fired him... I don't really buy what's mentioned in Wikipedia. Just because your singer wanted to open for a certain band and you disagreed with him doesn't mean he deserves to be fired. Being a huge Skid Row fan, I refuse to listen to any of their new albums. I really feel they didn't care about their band, nor their fans when they fired Bach. Not to mention that Johnny Solinger, Bach's replacement, doesn't even sound like a rock singer...
Albums:
My story with Skid Row started when I heard 18 and Life for the first time. I felt in love with Bach's voice. I continued listening to that song until I decided that I should get their debut album. I got the album and found that every single song is just as amazing as that song that made me a Skid Row fan in the first place. It didn't take me more than a week to get their second studio album, Slave To The Grind. Skid Row blew me away with that album. It's just PERFECT from start to finish. While I listen to their debut album A LOT, I listen to Slave To The Grind every single day. I just can't seem to get enough of songs like Wasted Time, Quicksand Jesus, Mudkicker, and In A Darkened Room.
I don't really care about Subhuman Race that much. It sounds decent, but lacks the element that made their first two Skid Row albums a HUGE success.
Live:
I never got the chance to see Skid Row live with my own eyes. But from what I've seen (YouTube videos, DVD), you can clearly tell the difference between Bach and their cowboy singer. Bach knew exactly how to drive the crowd crazy with his vocals. Hell. Even the band itself was so tight live. I just don't know what happened after Johnny joined the band. All what I know is he has a bad influence on Skid Row.
Conclusion: BBB! (Bring Bach back!)
