    Thumbs up Mathcore

I was quite curious to find out weither there were any people in here who listen to the "Mathcore" genre.

For people who don't know what Mathcore is, think of it as Progressive rock, but MUCH MUCH more progressive, I am saying like no visible time patterns, with a very complex instrumental background, with a variation of vocals.

Here is a wiki link: Mathcore

Here's my top 3 Mathcore Bands.
Sorry if quality is bad, I have dial up so I don't look at these videos first.

Dillinger Escape Plan - Probably one of the most talented bands alive, all very good at what they do. Dillinger Escape Plan - Party Smasher + Sunshine The Werewolf

Protest The Hero - very good guitar and drums, mixed with a very different type of vocalist, compared to other Scremo and Death Metal kinda stuff - Protest The Hero - Sequoia Throne

The Number Twelve Looks Like You - They are extremely good badn, I don't know what to say without repeating myself - he Number 12 Looks Like You - Like A Cat

Well there we go, any other Mathcore fans?

Wu Tang Killa Bee's, We On The Storm.

Even though it has some form progression in it, they sound nothing alike.

Mathcore bands. I'm not really that keen. I prefer Grindcore bands, which are somewhat similar, but a little harder and a little more difficult to interpret.

P.S Death Metal and Screamo are nothing alike. Screamo and Mathcore are only similar in one genre. Death Metal and Mathcore are nothing alike. Just for people that don't know.

Yeah I also like Dillinger Escape Plan, and Protest the Hero. I have actually seen PTH live with Bullet For My Valentine (because another band cancelled the day before) and they were really good.

But I'm not a big Mathcore listener.

I'm also a fan of mathcore. I've come to like Dillinger Escape Plan, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, PsyOpus, Ion Dissonance, Converge, Norma Jean (somewhat mathcore), and some others. I find the more I listen to music like this, the more... um... mathcore-y... I want it to be. I just want it to get more and more technical.

Once upon a time, though, this was dreadful noise to me. I'd definitely consider it an acquired taste.

    Re: Mathcore

The Fall of Try is/was considered Mathcore, the one band under the genre I listened to
