    Listen to the music.

(If this has already been done, please forgive me and ignore this thread) I was on another forum when I came across this and thought this would be a fun thing to do. Here's how it works. I'm going to post a song that I like and the next poster must listen to the whole song then give their opinions about it. Then it's their turn to post a song they like and the next poster does the same thing, give their opinion and post their song, and so on and so forth. I created this to let us share our tastes in music, so don't be TOO cruel. So let me start this off: YouTube - I'm Still Here By John Rzeznik Kingdom Hearts AMV

$20 says this is going to Word Games.

Anyways... that's not my style of music. Vocally it was alright, musically it was alright, but it's too touchy-feely in a bad way for my tastes. All that type of music just sounds generic and similar to me.

I like the rock a billy style mixed with a little ZZtop not really my genra of music but it is good none the less. Not a huge fan of how the lead singer sings the opening. Almost seems to fake. But over all I find it to be very enjoyable.

That was a really cool video to a pretty fun song. I liked the bass backing, it made the song for me. It's a pretty unique song, and it fit perfectly with a one piece video. It made me think of Flogging Molly to an extent, which is why I'm linking...

It's one of their newer songs, my favorite on this album.

Not bad. I have a buddy who's really into Flogging Molly, so I've heard a bit of them before. I always like bands who put interesting twists on generally normal types of music. It's catchy and has a nice hook in the chorus.

Speaking of which, anyone for some Pirate Metal? Yeah. I thought so.

This sounds really great! I don't have any LP or CD in the like.
    It's not metal though.
    More like pirate-heavy-new-punk.

    Here's a band I'm really into:

Sonic Youth - Mote (live, cause they're really good live)

I had heard the name a dozen times, but never bothered to listen to them yet. I really like this song. I didn't know they'd be this not-cool (that's a good thing).

Here's one by one of my favourite bands ever.

Too many different kinds of songs and styles but this was their first big hit in Europe.

Intro is driving me nuts, the voice repition rendering is kind of annoying through out. The music is actually decent but not a fan of the singing. The singers are very bland and kind of boring. Nothing to special to mention.

For some reason I love this song, figured I would pit it in here. Maybe just because it is the main ringtone on my cellphone.

I despise most Nu Metal, so I guess I'm a bit biased in my thoughts on Slipknot.

The song isn't really anything special, it seems like any other Slipknot song I've heard. The chorus is okay, but the rest of the song is pretty lame.

How about a little dub? Slash metal...

I thought it was OK. The main guitar riff was pretty awesome, but it could have done with some vocals I think. But, I did quite like it.

I quite liked it. The singing is pretty poppy but the lyrics "fuck me like a whore" and the noise make up for it. I wouldn't call this genre Industrial though.

Here's an electro one I'm into lately. I don't have the album, but my brother has. So I could steal it from him anytime now

I have to say, that was AWESOME! I loved the song, the guitar work was amazing, the riffage was awesome, and the vocals were really great too. Just overall a really good song.

Now, for one of my favourite bands ever, THE RAMONES!

Amazing song. It's actually the first time I've heard the Ramones version, and I've gotta say that HIM ruined this song with their cover. It's actually a really cool change of pace from the usual Ramones stuff, but you can still tell that it's them.

I'm always down for Lynyrd Skynyrd. Personally I think Tuesday's Gone is better, but meh. Anything they release is Legendary. I think they toured around here recently too.

I leave you with the song I've been listening to more than any other lately, with a drum beat that I bet I could learn if I had a drum kit around here.

It's ok actually. I'm not a fan of the voice though, it's a tad too whiney for me. The music is pretty cool though, Overall, I liked it. BTW, don't listen to the Joy Division cover, it's awful.

That's not a bad song :].... I liked the beat of it, it was a great tune :3... I wasn't a huge fan though of his voice.. I thought it should have had more of an upbeat tone since the rhythm was so happy and nice.. He kind of seemed too relaxed for it... But I generally liked it I thought it sounded good =3

I didn't like it, to be honest. It's quite catchy, but it was just the type of thing I don't like. If I'd have heard this a few years ago, I would have loved it. It's just not what I'm into.

Here's a band I only recently got into, and love at the moment.

That was amazing! I payed more attention to the drums than the other instruments in the song. I'm not a fan of the singing. It was alright, even though the parts appeared a few times. I would have preferred an instrumental version, but the song is great the way it is. *Favs it*

I'm not really picky with my music. I enjoy all types of music ranging from classics to the modern genres. Anyways, I've chosen "This Time Tomorrow" by The Kinks.

That take me back! I used to listen to it all the time when I was about 12. I've always thought it was one of the better covers out there.

That was quite a nice song. I enjoyed listening to it. I don't normally listen to tracks with just piano, but that was particularly nice. I liked it.

Not my favorite song from that album, but a good listen nonetheless. I kind of grew out of APC a few years ago, but they were still one of the unique bands among many.

That was a pretty good song. I'm not always a fan of the really growly sort of vocals, but that was good. The riffage was pretty good too. Overall, I liked it.

It's actually a good song. But it's nothing special. Maybe I'd enjoy it more if I had the full album to listen to.
