Can someone please explain to me wtf is the purpose of Kidz Bob? all it is, is a cd full of real artist songs re done in little kid voices... I don't get it -_-
Why not just listen to the originals? It's not like any of the songs they choose for each cd needs to be censored, or anything so I don't understand.

It's so little kids can sing along. Like We sing fun & folk.
Its purpose is to be CD's full of cute reiterations of the poppiest-ass songs possible. I think they even did a blink 182 song back in the day (All the Small Things?) And also, I think they might've done the Modest Mouse song "Float On," if memory serves. Which is kinda awesome if that's true, although Dirty Fingernails would've been a better choice. Anyhoo...

^ My two little cousins have that particular album, the one that has the song "Float On" as one of the tracks. I think it's Kidz Bop 7... Did you know that there's like 17 albums out of this stuff, and there's another one on the way this summer? Not that I care, because I don't listen to it (if I have a choice in the matter... <.<)
I think it's sort of the watered-down version of those "Now That's What I Call Music" CD compilations. It's just marketing really, to get in more money. Take the biggest pop songs on the radio and put them all on one collection. Getting "kidz" to sing along is pretty much just a gimmick, I think.

That's not even close to the worst part about these CD's.
A lot of the songs are ones about relationships, even some very vaguely hint at sexual relationships.
The kids look like little friggen' hoochies dancing to what is clearly adults music.
Totally tasteless. It's like they are preparing kids to be media freaks and to care about what people think of them, among other devious life choices.
They used to be very harmless, now they definitely have gone quite urban, and I'll leave it at that.
The post above mine. It's almost as bad as the Jonnas (however you spell it) Brothers singing about relationships when they are barely into puberty. Its embarrassing at best.
No, I see it too. It's pretty awesome. As society becomes less "sexually oppressed," I suppose we shall see more and more of this. Joy, the loss of innocence! Anyhoo...
