A Question of Love
I just got back from the DEPECHE MODE concert in St. Pete. I love these guys. Wanted to see what your favorite Depeche song was. Add in your favorites if I don't list them here.
Dang, I should have put Blue Dress in there. That's an awesome song. I love these guys. Saw them in concert in Tampa on Friday. Unbelievable!!
I think Personal Jesus is still one of their best. The rhythm is simply immortal, and I feel like it's the perfect song for this band. It represents what Depeche Mode sounds like.
But John the Revelator is one of their greatest too. Too bad it's not in there. But then again, I would have to choose between those two. So maybe it's for the best.

Personal Jesus is good. I love "In Your Room" or "Walking In My Shoes" though. They're just powerful stadium songs. Great stuff. But then I really like "Never Let me Down Again" and "Precious" for their more mellow tone. And then of course "People are People" was their breakout song, at least in America, and it was probably the pinnacle of their sampling era.
I love the song "Precious".It is a very haunting song to me.I also like the song that Mike Shinoda from LP did a remix for.
Simply sucks? then why did it put depeche mode on the map? why was it there first music video?
Why do i like it? Why do countless muscians cover it? I'm not alone it seems
Enjoy the Silence, Personal Jesus, Walking in My Shoes, Policy of Truth, People are People, Blasphemous Rumours, and Its No Good are my favorites, although there are many more I really like too. I don't have a definitive favorite. I voted for Enjoy the Silence as it was the first song that got me into them from a young age. As for the "I Just Can't Get Enough" debte, yes it is cheesy, but I love it! Its a fun song.
I still haven't heard their latest album, does any know if its any good?
I was expressing my opinion. Like I said, it is a catchy tune. That's what makes it popular. But I really can't listen to it.
It's a famous song, so it makes perfect sense for other musicians to cover it. You don't want to cover some obscure B-side during a live show.
@ Storm: I haven't heard any new songs really. Although Dave Gahan's solo album Hourglass from 2 years back is really amazing.

I've no problem with your opinion, but to state thats the reason why its not on the poll, thats where i get peeved
Wouldn't exactly call it well known, tbh i didnt even know it was theres until i saw it linked on a youtube vid one day >__<
Just because its catchy doesnt mean its crap
"Just Can't Get Enough." That was one of Vince Clarke's songs before he left the band, eh? Vince Clarke is the man. Sorry, Rags; I like that song, too. I also liked a song I heard off their newest album on the radio earlier this year, though I don't know what it's called. Anyhoo...

There's too many songs too choose from but People Are People has grown on me a lot. Other favorites songs I like by Depeche Mode is Enjoy The Silence (Kinda overrated but I still like it.), Policy Of Truth, Dressed In Black, Personal Jesus, Strangelove, and Halo.
