Now Apocalyptica is a group from Findland, and they play the cello and have guest singers. My favorite song is I Don't Care feat. Adam Gontier who is the lead singer of Three Days Grace.

"I Don't Care" is a great song. Adam Gontier & Apocalyptica make a great collaboration. The Collide album is really good. A lot different then their previous stuff but you have vocalists like Cristina Scabbia (<333333) and Corey Taylor that lend their voices on some of the songs. ^^
My favorite album of theirs to this day would be Cult. I love the instrumental versions of Hope, Romance, and Path. The vocal version of Path is pretty good too. I love how they do this beat box beat and fuse it with the cellos in certain parts.
I would love to see them live though one day. Especially to hear their Metallica covers that "Enter Sandman".![]()
I haven't listened to all that much of them, but I do quite like them. I think they have quite an original sound as far as metal goes.
Not my usual listening material, but every now and then I'll turn some on. I think my most played song by them is "Bittersweet".
I've been on this site since 2006 woah
Apocalyptica are great. Using cellos adds such a different sound and they have such a commanding stage presence. When they go on stage everyone knows it. Their songs keep going from strength to strength also. Especially now when their profile is increasing and they get more famous guest singers.
My only gripe is that if they mix the cellos too much like guitars the point is almost lost as the sound would then be replicable by guitar.
My favourite song is Life Burns featuring Lauri Ylönen form the Rasmus, im not a fan of the Rasmus, but that song gets be going everytime and its great to drive to^^
All in all a really good band. Go see them live....NOW!!!
I haven't heard that much of Apocalyptica. The only thing that I heard was their Metallica covers, and I'm pretty sure I heard a few Iron Maiden covers (The Trooper, maybe?). They're great musicians. I can't say that they have great taste in music, considering that they did an entire Metallica cover album, but at least their covers were better than the original songs. I heard that they started to do original songs, but I just don't care enough about cellos to actually take the time to listen to any original material. I'm sure it's good, considering that their covers were good.
I also love Bittersweet. They're really good.

I like them a fair bit, but I've only really seen them do Metallica covers, and I so I can only put in very little into this discussion. But I have to say I don't really like the cello trying to imitate someones voice.

since three days grace is one of my favorite bands i love "i dont care"
I love their music and especially songs performed by Metallica , Enter Sandman is my favorite one.
They were performing on EXIT Festival in my country but I couldn't be there to hear them. Great music and great musicians.
I love them! I was lucky enough to see them live at Download festival back in June and was blown away. One of the members said "we can't rock but we sure can headbang!" I think they do rock, and they can bloody well headbang!
I'm not sure what my favorite song is. I really love Helden, Peace, S.O.S (Anything But Love), and I'm Not Jesus. Although i've heard songs from other albums, I only own Worlds Collide.

I like the songs I've heard from them namely on the worlds collide cd. Those are the only ones so far. They did a great song with the lacuna coil lead singer (song 10) a little slow but her voice goes great with the instruments.
Apocalyptica is ever the best i listen

I really like Apocalyptica, some of my favorites being, in no particular order:
Hope and/or Hope II (Hope II is just the same song w/ lyrics)
Path and/or Path II (Path II is just the same song w/ lyrics)
Helden (Feat Singer from Rammstiein)
S.O.S.

I'm not a massive fan of their own stuff, but their Metallica covers are awesome. I love their cover of Creeping Death. I don't like how they have guest singers, and I would like them so much more if they had a full time singer of their own.
I am not a huge fan of theirs. some of their stuff is ok, but overall I do not enjoy their music. I liked their song they did with Corey Taylor, but that is just cause I enjoy Corey Taylor's music...
Apocalyptica is f---ing amazing. I don't care much for the guest vocals usually, though their performace with Tony Kakko was epic. My favorite Apocalyptica song would have to be Kaamos.
For Our Lord Sheogorath, without Whom all Thought would be linear and all Feeling would be fleeting. Blessed are the Madmen, for they hold the keys to secret knowledge. Blessed are the Phobic, always wary of that which would do them harm. Blessed are the Obsessed, for their courses are clear. Blessed are the Addicts, may they quench the thirst that never ebbs. Blessed are the Murderous, for they have found beauty in the grotesque. Blessed are the Firelovers, for their hearts are always warm. Blessed are the Artists, for in their hands the impossible is made real. Blessed are the Musicians, for in their ears they hear the music of the soul. Blessed are the Sleepless, as they bask in wakeful dreaming. Blessed are the Paranoid, ever-watchful for our enemies. Blessed are the Visionaries, for their eyes see what might be. Blessed are the Painlovers, for in their suffering, we grow stronger. Blessed is the Madgod, who tricks us when we are foolish, punishes us when we are wrong, tortures us when we are unmindful, and loves us in our imperfection.
