  1. Trust me I have nothing against a large majority of M rated games. My family is different though. We are a respectable Catholic family, and we have certain guidlines to follow. I talked to a priest about playing some of the games, and they told me what would be bad and what wouldn't. Now I'm just biding my time till I get to buy and play them.
  2. Hmm. You don't like M rated games? Where you too young at the time to get the games you wanted?
  3. The fact that 360s games are mostly M made me get the more family friendly systems first. Now that I'm older I think I want to get the 360 so I can get some of the other games I want. I do think the ps3 is way cool though, my favorite system to be sure.
  4. Not bad, sound like you can play almost anything out there, Microsoft games aside.
I was never really sold on the ps3, I saw how most of the games I wanted to play where going to the 360 anyways and didn't bother getting one at first.
  5. I own the N64, Wii, PS2, PS3, and I have played on a friends SNES but I don't own one.
  6. What game systems do you own?
I do like the Nintendo titles, but I only have 360 and ps2, no Wii.
  7. Well, first off if you want to get into baseball watch baseball tonight on channel 49/50. Games I own for the N64, I would have to say 20 to 25. My favorites being both of the Zelda titles, Mario Party 2 and 3, and the Pokemon Stadiums.
  8. Baseball is one sport doesn't seem to catch my attention at all. Hockey looks interesting, but I know very little about the sport.

What games do you own for your N64? I have about 20 of them, but the best I have are Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Rayman2, Star Fox, Jet Force Gemini, and Perfect Dark. Those are my favorites anyways.
  9. For sports I'm big on Baseball and Basketball. I'm a newly dubbed hockey fan after the Bruins won, yay. I was just playing the N64 the other day and I got a blister of all things because of the way I held the controller. Also, I love the FFXII and XIII.
  10. Oh, how awkward it is. It's so strange! I grab my 360 controller and obviously it feels familiar and all, but I take my N64's controller and I swear it feels like I have never hold one in my life before. How things change.

What sorts of sports do you like? I'm not big on sports, but I like to play them with friends.

I agree with your point, you won't get the true experience unless you play the original game, but unfortunately I've been too spoiled by the newer systems and games.
What do you think of how FF has changed in the last few years? FFXII & XIII seem to have an equal amount of haters as they do fans. (I'm a fan of both, btw)
  11. I know how you feel, after playing all the new systems it's awkward to play on the old ones. The main reason I like summer is because I'm a big sports guy. Yeah, you could call me a "purist", I like to see a game for what it was not what they could do with it.
  12. Haha, I'm good with all seasons except summer. Heat just annoys me to no end, but at least it's a good season to play sports.

Ah, so you are what one may call a 'purist'? At least in the sense that you want most of the original aspects of the games.

I started playing games with the Super NES, so anything that looks like a game from that era is alright for me. I have an N64, and I like the graphics in the games, I find them throughly enjoyable. Unfortunately, I have played too much ps2 and 360 so that now using the N64 controller feels too awkward, haha. Nostalgia makes me want to buy a Nintendo 3DS.
  13. Ah, so you are the opposite of me than, I hate winter and fall. As for graphics I'm usually a graphic snob, but something about the phrase don't change something that's already good applies to me. I love keeping an old games graphics together in a remake, that's not to say I don't like the PSP remake, but I like old school with old school.
  14. That's cool. I'm not too big a fan of those old graphics, but I have enjoyed playing the remakes for the psp. Art work is a big attraction about games for me, and I really like the art on the remakes, even if the monsters are just still-pictures, they looked very well drawn.

It's still pretty warm here, but it used to be just horrible the last three or two days. Summer is not my favorite season.
  15. I've got the gameboy advance Dawn of Souls. I'm a big fan of the old style graphics and the DoS really kept the classic graphics. The temperature here in MA was low, but the humidity was awful, so I can't say it was perfect.
