That's surprising. I didn't know he composed, at least, a song for FFXIII-2. I do like the metal take on the classic tune, but the lyrics are what kills it for me.
Ha... I honestly have no idea who they're trying to appeal to. Japan may think it's cool, sort of like how we like to throw Japanese stuff into our games from time to time. Nobuo's responsible for Crazy Chocobo though, which isn't a surprise. He did something similar with a song from Blue Dragon. Guy loves to rock and roll. =P I don't even know what to say about that rap. It may very well be worse because it isn't nearly as funny.
My friend told me about that Crazy Chocobo song, didn't believe it was that bad till I heard it for myself. I think this song is just as bad: Invisible Invaders (Lake Bresha Rap) From what I've heard it seems like there is a ton of vocals used throughout the soundtrack. I feel like this may be SE efforts to appeal towards the western market yet they are failing horribly.
