Alisyn. Life. Is disappointing. Hope you had better luck than me.
kaykay gon get laylaid?
It can be haha. What happens a lot is I'll get one verse and a chorus out real quickly and then when it's time to write the second, I draw a blank and have to come back to it. Other times, the words just spill out and it's more finding a melody that challenges me. But when I do finish one that I like for more than the initial "I FINISHED THIS SONG" phase, it's really rewarding. And yeah! Right on, I think it's good to go outside of what you specialize in. I wish I could be more exact, but I remember once my dad telling me he had been doing some reading or had gone to a conference about something not really related to geriatric psychiatry, but something he learned from that gave him a new perspective and method to diagnosing/treating alzheimer's in his practice. Anyway, tldr, good idea.
I'm interested in individuals differences and 'normalcy'...I'm hoping to write about ADD/ADHD in particular. Though I feel like learning about all schools of psychology is important to give yourself a good perspective, so I've looked into developmental and cross-cultural psychology as well. That's really great, when I was a kid I always wanted to be a performer but I didn't exactly have the chops to back it up ^^; So you do some creative writing too? That's very cool, it must be pretty difficult to write songs.
That's awesome. My dad is a psychiatrist (mostly geriatric) and my mom is a developmental pediatrician, so at least once growing up I pondered going in that direction. That's very cool. Is there something specific that interests you about the field (like... family, forensic, certain disorders, etc), or is it pretty much all encompassing at this point? I recently finished my undergrad, BFA in performing arts. I've been pulled toward some form of art pretty much all my life, it's just finding what works. These days, I write songs. Also, supermoon tonight. Woo!
Mine is [email protected]. I'll add you! I am, I really love it. I'm hoping to get a doctorate in clinical psychology, and possibly write a book if things go well. I see that you play guitar, that's really cool! Do you go to school as well?
My MSN handle is pretty obvious since I pretty much use it exclusively for talking to TFF members. [email protected] So you're a psychology major?
Haha, I was scared for a minute that maybe I said something rude on accident! And that sounds like fun! I'll have to look into that!
Nah, you didn't do anything wrong. Merlin was working on the site today and something went wrong and the forum went down for everyone. Funtimes. Still some kinks being worked out. Aaaaaanyway. If you want to get to know some other TFFers outside of the forum (assuming you have the time), you should get on MSN sometime. There are occasionally group chats.
Do you know if my account has been disabled? Maybe I did something wrong? For some reason the forum says that I don't have access to basically anything.
Haha. If there was cake, I would never leave. Yep. Natural red. Which also means I do not **** around when I blush or get sunburn. Trade-off, really.
I heard there was cake...but I'll settle for meeting some new people 8) Is this your natural hair color? Mine's about the same, but I dye it.
WHADDUUUPPPPP ADOPTEEEEEEE?!?!? So tell me. What brings you to TFF?
