That's called anime death. Gotta confirm the kill in order to make sure they're dead. That doesn't make it good especially used in such frequency. There are theories that Cid is the mysterious purple guy in FFXIII-2. We, the players, did not see him get shot by Rygdea therefore he can come back. Using too many fake deaths is shoddy.
Alright ok, calm down Yeah, but when it came to the fake deaths, you thought they were dead because you assumed they were in an unescapable situation, such as Hope's mum falling etc. But every fake death had the screen go black or look away before the person "died" which makes room for the possibility of them surviving. However, with Jihl you actually SAW Barthandelus do his mojo and kill everyone in that room, and you saw her being killed by his attack.
If you read that entire post I rag on FFXIII for some characters miraculously or inexplicably surviving deaths. I say Jihl will be the one behind the events in FFXIII-2 because it is outlandish and I'm taking a jab at FFXIII for its fake deaths which I hate. I didn't even mention in that post about Sazh's fake death.
I don't get it ... you said you would expect Jihl to be behind the evil that would occur in XIII-2, but she's dead? Sorry if i'm missing a really obvious point, i just calls 'em like i sees 'em.
You obviously missed what I was getting at with my comment about Jihl being in FFXIII-2.
