Conversation Between Darnell and Rocky

  1. No worries Kooky spice kept me entertained while I waited.

Yeah I was really excited for GT5 to come out but they just keep putting it off I don't know if they will ever release it and if they do I don't think it will live up to the hopes I have for it. I think I am just going to get permission from the wife to order it online and have it shipped straight here it should cut down on the wait time that way. I will defiantly need a good game when I get back for the days I lock myself in the bathroom while the wife is having bad days from the pregnancy hahaha.

Yeah those are whats left of them haha. I don't really worry about it to much now after see what they brought to the table its kind of hard to be scared of a little six man boat haha. The wife and family still gets worked up but thats to be expected.

I hope that all goes well for you. When do you start your classes? I went to a community college for one year before I joined and like you said easy classes limited social activities. CEO that has a nice ring to it haha. Right now my civilian life is at zero but when I get out I will probably go into the AC and Refrigeration field since the navy gave me a great certificate for it. That is what I will do while I go to school cause I really want to use the G.I. bill to go back to college. I am not sure anymore what I want to study but I have a few years left to figure it out. I am glad your friends family is ok. I will keep them in my prayers too.

So far I haven't found anyone to be a total @$$hole, which is good. Oh joy a bunch of little kids on here that know more about forums then I do. That will do wonders for my self esteem. lol.

  2. for some reason I missed your last VM lol, I got caught up talking to other people, my apologies! :/

Yeah I guess the big turnoff was back in the day my roommate downloaded GT5 (?) Prelude or w/e, and the whole thing was a big drag as far as racing games go. I don't mind doing the simulation stuff that Gran Turismo is known for, but there's only so many hoops to jump through before it gets old. -_- But yeah if all goes well, have the wife send you Persona 1, and then by the time you get back Persona 3 should be out for the PSP That will keep you busy for a few weeks at LEAST, lol.

Haha, were those pics in your album the pirates that tried to get you? lol! Oh I bet knowing you have a family at home makes you anxious, I would be the very same way.

I'm going to study business administration up at USD, they have a really good school for it and I'm pretty pumped to not be at a community college anymore lol. Sure the classes are easy as all hell but theres no social life, so I've been hanging out with people from work instead. I definitely want to keep being in the same field I'm at right now, except with a business background I'd like to be able to call the shots and work my way up to a CEO position What do you do as far as civilian life goes, did you go to college or are you going to after you return, what do you do for a job? And yeah my friend's family is all good, their vacation got ruined though but oh well, it could have been worse. And yeah I'm pretty bummed they are leaving but I'm praying for them, and I'll give them the weather memo lol.

As far as trouble makers? We definitely have some free spirits here at tff haha. Che, Block and midgetbob are all pretty funny fellas (and all three of them know each other IRL, I think they're from Kansas or something.), also I think you had a run in with Jin. He's a pretty smart individual but he's not too keen on noobish things. He's fairly harmless though, so no worries. The banners are just ranks that TFF gives you based on how many total posts you have. As far as activity goes I couldn't say, but once the summer kicks in people start to come back because all of the little kids are out of school and have nothing better to do haha.

  3. Yeah I played through a couple of characters and I mean the fighting is pretty cool I just don't know about the rest of it I am sure if I just sit down and start working through it I will enjoy it. I might indeed have to get her to send Persona I have played everything else I have and still have a few months to go. I loved the whole GT series but the latest one for psp just didn't come through for me. You don't get any series races they are all individual events and there is zero customization of vehicle appearance. They randomly place you with a group of 3 other cars so there were times I was racing a Ford pickup against a Handa Civic. I still play it just because of lack of options but very big let down.

I am stationed on The USS Ashland, from what I hear we were in the news a few weeks back because of the attempted pirate attack we had. So where we are isn't to classified so far as the part of the world. We are floating around the area of Jordan but we have been all over in the Arabian Gulf. We left in the middle of January and we are set to be back the middle of July so long as things go as planned. Its harder this time because my last deployment I was single and no kids on the way this time thats all I can think about is getting back to them. I am happy to be out here doing this because I think everyone has to help in some way to keep America a great place and well this is my way.

What are you going to be studying? I had a friend back in VA and she helped with special needs kids she seemed to enjoy it alot too. We were told about the flood but not much just that the base in Millington flooded out so the people that place us in our next duty station have been shut down and everything is kind of on hold which sucks for the people waiting to transfer.I hope your friend's family is ok and didn't get hurt. Wow that sucks I wish all your friends the best in Afghanistan, tell them to pack for HOT HOT weather, I was outside yesterday for 30 minutes and got sun burnt on my arms and lost 7 pounds to sweat, lol maybe alittle over exageration.

Who around here should I look out for are there any trouble makers I should be aware of? What is with the little banner that says like noobie and mage and changes all the time what decides the title it gives you? What is with the lack of activity it seems everyone has just fallen off the face of the earth no one has been around.

  4. nice man, and I know how you feel about dissidia, it takes a bit to get used to, but once you get into it the game gets really fun and addicting haha. Persona is really fun! It's a remake of the Persona that was released on the PS1 (shortly before even FF7 was out actually), so it may feel like an older game but it's really fun to play and the story is pretty good. You play as a group of teenagers that either fight or recruit demons to battle with them, and you're trying to save the town thats become overrun with stuff like that. It's pretty good as far as recent RPGs, but if that sounds interesting then wait until July when Persona 3 comes out for the PSP, it blows the first one out of the water if you get bored while on tour then have your wife send you that game, you wont regret it lol. And yeah I've been a big fan of GT but I haven't really kept up since GT3, the racing games are fun but I can't play them for long periods of time without getting bored.

idk if it's classified or anything but where are you stationed right now? and for how long? That must be tough with the wife and future son/daughter at home, but I'm proud of you sticking your neck out for us citizens

As for my story, I'm 21, I will be attending the University of South Dakota in the fall, right now I work as a caregiver for children with special needs so I never have a dull day at work haha. As for big news, not a lot has happened that sticks out for me I guess.. Oh out in Tennessee got massively flooded with a bunch of sudden rain, my friend's family were on the way to Arkansas and got caught up in the middle of it. Oh, and it sounds like a bunch of my friends in the service are getting deployed to Afghanistan, like it's one of the biggest reserve deployments ever in our area .

Anyways thats about all I got haha, if you have questions on tff or some of the members in particular or anything you'd like to know, just hit me up on here! Or if its like an embarrassing question or something, then send me a private message!

  5. It's nice to meet you too. I am happy to get such a warm welcome from everyone. Yeah Crisis Core is my favorite right now mainly do to the fact that all I have out here is my psp and That was the game I bought before I left on deployment. My wife sent me Disidia but I am having trouble getting into it. I really liked it I'm sure you will to. How is Persona is it worth playing? Like I said all I really have is the psp and so far I can't really find to many games I enjoy for it. I was really let down by Gran Turismo I was waitting for that game forever and it just didn't deliver. I am always down for meeting new people I am regularly looking for new things to talk about and learn about.

So whats your story where you from what do you do all that good stuff? Any big news about back in the states would be awsome to I'm kinda lost out here don't get to know all the news events from back that way.
