Yeah, I mean you wouldn't likely have any snipers using homemade rifles, but if someone wanted to show up and do some damage, a homemade firearm could do the trick. I've made catapults, a shitty ballista, and potato guns, never actually tried to make a gun before. Might be a fun project for a rainy day.

This is very true. My girlfriend's brother made one out of old pieces of wood, a metal pipe, a spanner, a spring and a 1.5l Coke bottle. It can fire old screws and shit into walls and embed them most of the way. It could kill someone if it first managed to hit them.
Wow man, you are getting right to the nub of my point on the 'Boys are Stupid' thread. Ka pai (well done). I'm really happy with how it's panned out actually, and I didn't realise until just now that the t-shirt controversy ('boys are stupid, throw rocks at them!') serves a double purpose. It points out how 'masculinist' issues are ignored by everyone, and alludes to the education disparity ('boys are [more] stupid [than girls]').
