I personally don't think it is aliens... but it IS a proven fact that each civilization has these myths and legends. therefor making it a plausible "end of the world" scenario... anyways, like I said, I don't believe it would happen, but i don't believe in the end of the world happening in 2012 either... I wasn't trying to inflate any e-peen. I just think your idea of comparative mythology is a ridiculous notion. Seriously, aliens? You don't think humans could have just used their innate intelligence, intimate knowledge of animals and plants from their time as nomads, and the warm climate of the Holocene as the basis of civilisation? Oh, and a question I forgot to add in my original post: what motive would these men in White Robes have to teach people agriculture and animal husbandry, as well as architecture? I like you, by the way. It just never seems that way when I disagree with people.
