They didn't do anything like WoW. The game was the same when they released it when they were supposed to. The game did take TOO long but they didn't want some production company to **** their game up...so it took about 10 years to create lol. The game was AMAZING in the beta. 1500 players....took hours to find someone and hunt them down. Then the game came out...15000 players...and nothing but exploits.
the problem with Darkfall is they delayed it TOO long. It was supposed to come out before AoS did with UO; instead they delayed it and then all but canceled it, then reinvigorated the program when WoW was doing so well.... sigh. :'( someday I'll be able to kill some carebear farmer and take all their loots again... someday. :'(
