ive tried playing slap a few times but i can't quite get the hang of it just yet.
Actually, I lie, my girlfriend plays bass I don't know how I forgot that. But we haven't practised together yet. I've been going for ... a month (?) at this stage. Yeah, I'm sort of doing that, but I can only play 'Let it Be' and The Cure's 'Boys Don't Cry' (really easy song, though I'm getting lost towards the end). Um, in terms of the music I enjoy, I'll just list my top five bands (which is changeable, but meh), and that might give you some indication. The Strokes, Radiohead, Pixies, Minus the Bear, and, hmm, The Cure, maybe. It's hard to decide haha. Have you tried playing slap bass?
as far as tabs go, what ive done is looked around online for some songs that i'd like to learn/could possibly learn in the not too distant future , printed them out, and put them into a 3 ring binder. so basically just a binder of songs i'd like to try and learn. iv'e got some tabs saved on one of my external drives i think i could probably dig up. easy songs...'brain stew' and 'sex on fire' were the first 2 songs i learned and they were fairly simple. what sort of music are you in to?
I have found this website really useful. I don't know anyone who plays bass, but a few friends play guitar. I haven't sought anything from them (yet). I learnt a simplified version of Let it Be yesterday. Do you know any easy songs, that you have bass tabs for?
mostly just trying to figure it out by myself but ive got a couple friends that play so they help me out from time to time. you?
