I think I'm opposite; while I did like P3's music I fell in love with P4's a lot more. Though there are certain tracks from both that I both adore and don't care for. For example, P3's final boss music is amaaaazing. I love when games have really kickass final boss music, it just makes the game twice as good. Haha I almost forgot about the police officer. Unfortunately he is reduced to a shop keeper and that's it. And yeah I can totally see that, you remind me of Yousuke a lot, you even kinda look like him. Just paint your glasses orange. xD I like Elizabeth too for the same reasons, not to mention the dates with her are really cute. Ideally? Well, I do really like my job, but it can stress me out so bad sometimes lol. I don't know if you meant like, career or anything but what gamer hasn't had the nerdy dream of being some sort of game developer you know? =P Ah, pipe dreams. Oh! The other job I've always kinda really wanted to do was be a detective, haha. What about you? You nailed it. xD Yeah, the ones I go to are usually anime cons where the majority of people are dressed up and there's all kinds of gaming events and contests and karaoke and movie screenings and other events going on. I could go plenty more in-depth if you'd like. xD I'm really excited because this year, one of the guests is gonna be Daisuke Ishiwatari! I don't know if you play much Guilty Gear or BlazBlue, but he's the guy that created and did the music for both. Dude that would be so rad, I hope you get to do that! Business administration huh? Is there a specific career that you're aiming towards right now? And thanks for the advice, I'm pretty nervous about starting school again in general so advice helps. ^ ^ Duuude that sucks. =( Well luckily colds don't usually last too long, feeling any better tonight?
Yes! The music for all of the Persona games has been spot on, most definitely lol. Though I really appreciated P4s music, I find myself liking P3's much more already, its just more hip and fitting with me at least haha. Atlus knows what they are doing in that department, even the SMT games on the SNES had really good songs for their time. Or, at least the 2nd one did, the first SMT was really bugged when I tried playing through it and I didn't get far. Favorite characters eh? I'm not too far in P3 so I can't say for sure yet. I do like the cool police officer that sells you weapons lol. As in P4, ahh I really like Yosuke, I related a lot to his character, with him keeping a cheerful demeanor at all times and stuff. Kanji was really funny, especially during the school events like the fair and the camping trip and stuff hahaha. As for the girls, I like Elizabeth because she has that hawt short hair and she gives out easier requests then that silly Margaret did. Babysitting's not so bad and all but like you said its not guarenteed money by any means, so I hear ya trying to find another job. What would be your ideal job to have? I think we have like Dungeon and Dragons cons that happen every once in awhile in our town but I've never gone to any of them haha. I think I'd be scared off by all the LARPers xD but what kind of con do you go to? Is it where you dress up like anime characters and stuff or what all goes on exactly? Yeah it's all in the works with a local lan center in town, and if we do get to go, it would probably be to either Denver and/or Columbus, depending on how much money they would hook us up with. It's okay if you haven't figured it out, it took me about a year and a half while I was in college to get it straight Just take a balanced schedule and if you get interested in a class or two, let your profs know and they can help you out on getting you more information to make a decision whether you want to persue a career in w/e youre interested in. And yeah I'm finishing up my junior year atm, doing Business Administration but I'll prolly be in school for about 3 more years, I want to get my Master's degree. And yeah my runny nose isn't near as bad as last night but I'm still miserable, lol.
Totally! I love classic turn-based battle systems like that. Not to mention Persona's always got really upbeat battle music that gets you pumped. P3's is especially humorous, I couldn't take the game seriously for a while. xD Yeah there's definitely more chances for the characters to develop in 3, more events if I remember correctly. So who are your favorite characters, in both games? For me, its hard to choose a favorite in P4, but I really liked Adachi and Chie. Kanji and Yousuke are close seconds probably. In P3, probably Shinjiro. Also, do you prefer Margaret or Elizabeth? Same, I mean aside from my job I also have some babysitting gigs queued up, but that's not a very solid income, so yeah, GameStop's starting to look less bad an option, though the hesitation's still there. I've heard of lots of employees there hating their job, so the horror stories don't help. And lol, I don't know how to respond to that. xD Awww, there's not even a little con nearby? Luckily there's this con that happens every year that's only 20 minutes from where I live so I usually go to that. Good luck with the jobs, and especially good luck if you do end up working consistently this summer, that takes a lot of stamina/will-power. Woah, you might get sponsored? Dude that'd be sick! Do you know where you'd get to go if you got to attend the national events? Haha, now I sure wouldn't mind if that happened to me too! Dreaming big never hurt anybody. As of right now... I'm still not too sure, haha. Aside from general ed, I'll probably takes some art/music classes and maybe some acting classes, but I really have no idea what I'd like to do, or work towards. I feel kinda lame because of it, but hopefully I'll find what I wanna do somewhere along the way, you know? ^ ^ What about you, are you in school? Colds make it sooo hard to sleep, I hope it goes away! x_x
Oh yeah the grind is always fun for me lol, its one of the high points for an RPG for me, and bonus points if the battle system is fun, which Persona's battles are. They develop more as you get into the game? I'll keep that in mind. I guess I'll give them a chance then, haha. I got to like the 10th floor or so but I started over today because I didn't realize you could leave in the night and build up your skills, lol! ^^; Thanks, hopefully I get some job at this point lol. And yeah it's true you can't be too picky at this point, but I still would have some hesitation working at Gamestop. Plus as a chick, you'd probably get hit on by the nerds all day going to some cons eh? We don't have anything cool like that, dang Hopefully if I can get two jobs, I'll just work all day errday and make big bank for school in the fall. There's a chance that me and my halo3 team might get a local sponsorship to attend some national events, but we'll see how things go. And like you, I also have pipe dreams of falling in love, running away and moving to another country or something similar, but I'll stick to trying to beat some PS2 RPGs that I've neglected for years. So what do you want to do in school? and I hate colds, I have one right now lol.
I have a love/hate relationship with level grinding, its one of my favorite parts of RPGs but there gets to be a breaking point where I can't take it anymore. Usually that's when I drop the game from boredom (bad habit of mine), or suck it up and beat it at the level I'm at. Yeah Kanji's a beast with attacking, but I would have switched him out with a healer too. I went through the game using my MC as a part-time healer because I wanted to use characters I liked most in my party, rather than characters that were useful. xD One thing that's nice about the P3 cast is that they get more of a chance to develop as characters, as opposed to in P4 where after their individual shadow incident they're mostly reduced to background chatter. That's one of the only things I didn't like about P4, that and how rushed the story was at the end. I love who ended up being the culprit though! One of my favorite antagonists ever. Awww man, we're kindred spirits yo. =( Good luck with the FedEx job, seriously! I've been considering applying for GameStop, only because the manager there said he'd hire me, but it wouldn't be my first choice. Guess you can't be picky these days though right? Big plans? I wish! Mostly just gonna be working, and probably going to a few conventions. I've also got this big pipe dream of beating all my games this summer... Ha ha ha. How about you?
haha, yeah the level grind sucks, but I've always liked the SMT series for how the level progression worked and how your stats were only relative to your level compared to the enemy's level as well. It was an interesting balance. I had no idea Izanami's 2nd form absorbs lightning :x. Otherwise I'd probably switch him out for Yukiko I think, so I could of had another healer and have MC either buff or deal out damage, but I got it to work out. Despite that, Kanji's attack skills helped out enough, so he was worth having around regardless. I just kinda started it, the game is a lot different then P4 but I like the atmosphere a bit better, just the characters seem more flat. I adored the P4 cast though, so that is to be expected. Man that sucks for your hours, I'm going through the same thing actually.. Theres a morning shift opening up at FedEx so I'm gonna try to get that job, otherwise I've applied at about a dozen plus places and have yet to get a call back, it sucksssss. You have any big plans for the summer?
Getting to Lvl. 99 in that game is so much harder than in P3, I gave up at Lvl. 96. It was taking way too long and I just wanted to beat it. xD So was that your final party? Sounds manly. ;] I really regretted not using Teddie in mine, but I couldn't kick out Yousuke, Chie or Kanji... I think once I start my New Game+ I'll switch Kanji for him though. Kanji gets the shaft! Oh, have you started FES yet? I've been feeling like a bum! My hours got cut so I only work once a week, and I don't start school again until fall so I sleep all day lol. How about you? And yeah I rarely check my reps since I rarely post in the first place so there isn't much to be repped. xD
yes I did in fact! Got to level 86ish with the MC, then used Yosuke, Teddy and Kanji to whoop Izanami and her freakish 2nd form. I beat it on my second try, thanks to a Spirits To Yomi attack that instantly killed the MC -_-. It was a fun game over all, the flexibility of the Main Character was very helpful in the final battle, as I was mostly using Satan for damage dealing and Metatron for healing. I haven't started a new game+ yet, but I'm glad I haven't yet since I'm borrowing my friends copy of Persona 3:FES :3 What have you been up to lol? Kinda late on the +reps are we? haha
Heyyyyyy so like I only just now saw your rep about P4, so you finally got it! Did'ya beat it yet?
Aaaaah I've been meaning to get that. I used to own the original for PS2, but about a month after it came out I lent it to a friend who kinda... kept it. I never even got to beat the game. xP How's the PSP one? Technically the character is from Touhou Project (a curtain shooter game), but its a male version of a female character. Because that's how I roll. ...Gender ambiguous.
haha, yeah. I myself haven't been playing it much as of late, as I recently bought Disgaea 2 for the PSP so all my time has been going to that now, lol. and thank you Where is your avy from?
I think I'm gonna steal some of your booster ideas next time I play the game (who knows when), since that sounds like a good setup. I should really pick it up again since I'm having a hard time remembering what you're talking about half the time. xD Plus I want the Chicken Knife. ...Nice Big Bird.
Ah, yeah I seem to destroy the level at kinda random, but if I get brave for it, then its cool but I've never really gone after it, now I might have to do that though. Nice idea! Yeah, the Chicken Knife is a really awesome knife! I think quite a few characters can equip it, and it has like +66 attack power, which is really high, even in measurement to the ultimate weapons. I had to continuously battle a level 100 Tidus and a level 100 Exdeath (both ranked SSS) to get the ingredients though -_-. Not as bad as it sounds, but that Tidus was stacked, haha. As for my setup, I use a couple easy boosters, like Level = 100, Level = multiple of 5, and a couple of others to help boost attack power, then I have like champion belts and a bunch of +damage% stuff. As for his equipment, I have okay stuff, but nothing thats really helping me out at the IC. It's hard enough to farm for it in the Duel Colosseum, so I'm kind of at a catch-22, since I dont have the goods to farm for the goods, lol. oh well, I'll just keep being persistant.
Ohhhh 'aight, I was under the impression that you were way below them for some reason. Yeah some of the enemies have the most brutal set of accessories that'll just destroy you. A technique that I remember using is destroying the environment to build up stage bravery, then landing an attack and gaining said bravery. Though if the enemy hits you first and takes it for themselves, then that kinda sucks, a lot. Chicken Knife! I don't have that yet, is it awesome? I mean, the name itself sounds bad ass enough. I honestly can't remember, I'm gonna have to get back to you on that once I go check. I think my setup for accessories consisted of supporting Zidane's weaker areas though, like attack power and stuff. What about you?
I think Squall is level 98 or so, while my Zidane is at level 100 with most of my abilities mastered. It's not like the level difference is killing me, but the equipment on Squall is just soooo sick compared to mine, with accessories and all. His moves do so much bravery damage it's frustrating.. -_- And yeah I have the DC unlocked! I have all the courses except the Blackjack course unlocked, but besides getting the items needed, I don't really see the use of it overall. I have better luck farming for items/accessories off of the offline character cards that I have, like the level 100 tidus for example. That's how I got my Chicken Knife What kind of accessory setup do you use for zidane?
