  1. OMG it's your Birthdaaayyyy.

Happy Birthddaaayyyyy Solid Snake <3<3<3 haha.
  2. Hahahah, thanks. I was happy because one of the FOBs we stopped at had NA beer, so a bunch of us sat around and BS'd and drank a nearbeer. Good times.

It looks like an awesome advertisement for something.

    Even soldiers use Colgate
  4. That Muramasa guy is a moron.
  5. I could see how you would grow close to each other though, I would imagine you rely on each other a lot. Like a big family
  6. It's somewhat of a mix between both situations. I mean, i'd say that less than half of Coalition troops actually give a damn about Iraqis. Maybe half. The rest of 'em aren't fighting for Iraqis -- they fight for their friends, their brothers, the men next to them. From what I've heard, it was a similar situation in Vietnam. Most Soldiers and Marines didn't give a damn about South Vietnam, they fought to protect each other.
  7. I used to think war was pointless, and could some how be avoided no matter what the circumstance( hippie thoughts) But once my dad explained it to me ( the reasons for the Iraq war) and "why" we fight it kind of enlightened me. I still can't say that I, myself would go to war. He got angry when I told him that...but it's true. Maybe because I'm a wiene -_- I don't know why myself.

You remind me of Solid Snake ahah!! I never thought of it that way. I always thought that soldiers sent out to war were just there because they had to, and were eagerly trying to survive to go back to their families. I've never heard of someone wanting or even considering going back.
  8. Yeah, it's pretty disgraceful how America treated its Vietnam veterans. They're a bit better now, just more covert in their insults. I've only been called "baby killer" a handful of times. The ignorance is still there, but the hatred usually isn't.

As for why I'd want to go back ... ever hear about soldiers leaving home to go to war, and leaving war to come back home? That's not how it is. It becomes your home. I spent more than a year training, eating, sleeping, living, and fighting with the men I went with -- they were my family. My home wasn't some apartment somewhere that I hadn't seen for a year, it was the scrawny little bunk I hoped to make it back to every night. It's not an issue of leaving home and coming back, it's leaving home twice. And for some people ... I dunno, we just feel like that's where we belong, that's who we belong with, and that's what we belong doing.

I'm good at two things in life. Honestly -- two things. Everything I've done, I've been decent at, or mediocre at -- except for two things. One is sex. From what I've heard -- even after breakups and such -- I've got something to be proud of there. The other? Soldiering. Leading troops, training, combat. It's what I do. I'm not really any different than the guys that find out that they're good at driving and end up racing, or the guys that realize that they're good at sports and become pro athletes. I'm good at being a Soldier.
  9. Oh wow....! holy poop

That's insane, why would you want to go back?

I can't say I agree with war at all, but what must be done, will be done. I'm all for peace<3 My dad was in Vietnam and he likes to lecture me from time to time.
  10. Yep. Totaled .. lemme think .. 737 days. I'm thinking about going back for another year, but I'm not sure.
  11. Sadly, not all people can be mature these days. I would imagine that it would be more common for people to act immature on the internet -_-

So I take it you have been to Iraq ?
  12. I originally thought of it as just that -- intellectual. A way to get away from the childish immaturity that runs rampant on the internet. And usually, it is. Unfortunately, sometimes it still attracts petty little children that would rather hurl insults and disrespect those who disagree with them than support their own arguments with factual information and reason. Can't avoid it.
  13. Every time I read it, I make a funny voice for some reason ahaha!! I like posting in Intellectual from time to time. Also reading the Big Biographies.

In fact I think my first post was in intellectual.
  14. Hahahahah, thanks. Somebody made it for me probably three years ago, at least, because most of what I do is in the Intellectual Discussion forum, and I despise ignorance. Somebody else (can't remember who) immediately remade it, but crossed out "facts" and wrote "porn" -- I considered using that one instead, or both, but for some reason decided against it.
