With my promotion skills, you can be damb certain there'll be more than that... (Oh yeah).
Yes, once, though to be honest only two members took part of it so I had 50:50 chance right from the start, I do hope a lot more members enter this contest.
Have you won any? (erghle, never mind, that was rude) But I suppose things will become even more competitive after I announce there's gonna be big $$$ involved. I just retained the support of Chad Q. Billinsgley. He has generously offered a more decent reward to the winner.
You can count on me, I've already been part of several such contests here on TFF.
Hello, I'm just drumming up more contestants for this sketch competition I started in the art forums. If you're interested, here's the link.
Sorryz I didn't answer that one quickly, I've been souper busy, anyway: Aww, I don't complain. Ever. To tell the truth, I'm glad whenever I'm remembered. Also, there did turn out to be a need for the "3 CD at one time" machine, so I wouldn't be doing that anyway. Oh, yeah, yer right on that. I keep mixing that up with Rocky for some reason (and I do love the Rocky). Previous cheese: Don't get me started, I was laughing so hard when that bad-guy got shoved down that hole and had the time to say "Ooof!" before blowing up. Heh heh ^_^ I'm on a back-log of films right at this second, but the name has been engraved in my memory, and I shall not forget it. Yeah, he's not really that bad, but after listening to him for the whole day, things tend to get sorta tiresome. I really do pity you on that. I'm not familiar with horror film etiquette myself yet. Any other actions one should absolutely not do?
300 dollar sound system! I wouldn't really complain if I was you There's no such thing as Rambo V, Rambo IV is the last one, pretty darn good movie if you ask me. Not nearly as cheesy as previous movies in Rambo series, and despite taking place at fictional location it mirrors the entire situation in some parts of Asia rather well. I really do suggest you see those movies, Lucky Number Slevin in particular. Sounds harsh, but at least he pauses the film. It's still not as bad as seeing horror flicks with one of my friends who screams whenever something scary is about to happen, I swear, I was scared more by her than anything else. One of the worst comments I ever heard during a movie was while watching Silent Hill, after the scene where Rose crashes her car my cousin yells "shouldn't she have like ABS in that car". My face after he said that..
I can't wait to watch more Dexter. It is killing me! (Well, sort of...) Chuck season 4? Again, must... exercise... patience! Wow, what a great present! My family is famously bad at choosing presents. Like, I'd ask for something simple like a mechanical pencil and some paints. The fated birthday looms and what do I get? A three hundred dollar sound system with speakers. (If you know me at all, you know I'm notoriously cheap and get angry at blatant wastes of moola, I'm also a bit of a music-crab. I'll hum the tune after I hear it once, but I don't like hypnotizing myself with the same stuff multiple times) And we were strapped for cash then, too. I couldn't ask them to return it, that would've meant I was ungrateful (which I was, btw), I much would've preferred they'd forgotten the occasion. Urgh, Worst. B-day. ever. Haha, Dont! Rocky VI wasn't that great. Best to preserve the goodness in its untouched state. Rambo V, on the other hand, was shrug-worthy. I've watched everything except for "The Usual Suspects", "Lucky Number Slevin" and "Memento" (my siblings have seen it and have been haranguing me about it for a long time) I know I should watch it, but I can't find the thing anywhere in the house. I'm beginning to suspect foul-play... Snoring in the middle of a movie? Now that's rare... HA! I wish my brothers were that way! Sit them down and they break the sound barrier! I would chew them out, but the largest of my little brothers has the remote and he actually pauses the film before inputting his and others' audio commentary, so now, not only am I forced to listen to his "Here's what I would've done with this scene" I have to stare between him, my other boisterous bros, and the frozen screen, as they do so. He's not the worst one, though. The second brother is a habitual "ruiner" he watches the film before you do and then tells you what he enjoyed/hated about it. Whenever he brings up a movie I automatically have to shout "DON'T RUIN IT FOR ME!!!" It's times like those I think about becoming a female hermit. (minus the long white beard)
I honestly can't wait to see the 7th season of Dexter (final one I assume) and how he handles Debra knowing who he truly is. Fourth season of Chuck is the best one imo, you'll witness several great twists in that one so you're up for a treat. My sister's a huge fan of Hugh Laurie, she would kill a man to meet him in person, we had her made a shirt with his face on and a text saying "it's never lupus" for her last birthday. You listed some truly great movies, I'm huge fan of Rocky myself, strangely though I've never seen Rocky VI. The Good, The Bad And The Ugly is one of my all time favorites, a must see. I myself prefer movies with great twist to them, The Prestige, Fight Club, Memento, Inception, The Usual Suspects, Lucky Number Slevin, and such. My older brother is the only guy I can watch movies with as he tends to stick to my one and only rule, "shut the **** up during the movie". My sister usually falls asleep halfway through no matter how interesting the movie is which wouldn't be such a problem if she didn't snore.
The very pinnacle? I must watch at least one of those, then. (*ARGHH!* My cat is knocking stuff off the shelf behind me, what a little monster!) I'm in total love with Dexter. It's amazing the troubles he gets into! And THEN, just when I think things are way too complicated to ever be fixed, they're suddenly fixed! Chuck, season 3 is heating up! House actor, Hugh Laurie was in California last month or so. My brother went to see him on stage. He used his English accent through most of the skit, but toward the end he went with the House character. Scrubs is sort of my fallback. They're cheap second-hand and adequately funny. Of course, you can ask questions at any time, dude. Questions are the key to the best of convos. I like "Taken" 'TLOTR' series The Fighter Yes Man Seven Samurai Twilight Samurai Running Out Of Time The New Police Story Vengeance Rocky 4 Bangkok Dangerous (not the Nick Cage version) Running scared Batman: the dark night Infernal Affairs The Good, The Bad And The Ugly I'll come up with a longer list, but for now I'll just list some recents. All the guy films I watch are usually with my brothers, (Yeah, I'm used to the macho, I love boxing films) while the girly ones are with my little sister, (who's nuts about them, btw). I recently watched: 'Basic' (with John Travolta and Samuel L Jackson), 'Three Kings' (George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, Ice Cube...) The Other Guys (Mark Wahlberg again, and Will Ferrel) I also saw 'Sleepless In Seattle', tonight I'm going to see 'Black Swan' with (you guessed it) my sis.
Game of Thrones is set in medieval/fantasy themed world where several kingdoms wage war over iron throne, characters and their conflict with each other, love and all the backstabbing are what makes this show worth watching. "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is simply hilarious, I would even dare to say it's almost as good as "Only Fools and Horses" which is the very pinnacle of comedy shows if you ask me. First two seasons of Dexter are one of the most exciting things I've seen on TV, Scrubs became kinda dull and repetitive after fourth or fifth season, though still good enough to watch. House MD is just brilliant, one of my favorite shows, love his arrogant, sarky, "I don't give a damn" attitude and humor. I love Chuck, although the last season was kinda meh. My turn to ask a question, what are your favorite movies?
I've never watched either of those. How agitating. What is Game of Thrones about? I've been hooked on "Dexter" it's creepy, but I can so relate... (the only problem is I can't get my brothers to stop humming the theme song.) I've also been previewing an awful lot of 'Scrubs' and 'House' other than that, I've been watching old 'Chuck' episodes. I'm waiting for season three now... I really need to get new stuff...
I'm done with Game of Thrones, a whole lot of boobies in that one which is kinda awesome, although there's no way in hell I'll wait that long to see the third season, I'll probably read the books... probably. Right now I'm going through It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, it's wacky, random, fresh, I like it.
Finally someone with a sense of humor! Love the evil laugh! Okay, spill those beans, was it YOU who gave Watchmen all those recommendations? Urgh, even when disagreeing you're quite tactful. Behind-kissing being the most ancient, under-rated, yet overused, art of mind-control, I'm going to have to deduct one from your originality level, but seeing as how you handled my insulting of 'Watchmen' so flawlessly, you've been awarded five on the cool-headed scale. I've been up all night watching another waste of time series "Castle: season 2" I cannot stand the main character, he's so annoying. What shows do you watch?
I see you figured out my grand scheme, I'm afraid you must die now... muahahaha. Joking aside, it's a shame you didn't like Watchmen, come to think of it not many have despite it receiving fairly positive reviews, nevertheless from what I've seen you still have fine taste in movies (how much points do I get for ass kissing).
