Conversation Between Xanatos and Michael Swayne

  1. Having played through it, I would have to agree with you. But seven years ago, my GameBoy and I were inseparable. I couldn't leave it when it had its bi-curious phase. All jokes aside, the game did have a fun moment or two. They were never moments that I wished would last forever, but it kept me entertained for a bit.

Nowadays, the game sits at the bottom of a coffee tin along with my GameBoy peripherals. My E-Reader, Wireless Adapters, Game Link Cable, etc. It's right next to its boyfriend Shrek: Reekin' Havoc (another disgustingly easy game).
  2. No excuse mate, you could have just as easily kicked a rock down the street, I bet it's way more fun than Mary-Kate and Ashley's Girls Night Out. Then again, who am I to judge, I played my fair share of shitty game, though to be honest none as shitty as this one.
  3. Why what? Why did I play it? Two reasons. First, all I had at the time was a GameBoy Advance; and a game is a game, no matter how girly. Second, I had finished all my other GBA games at the time. I caught all my Pokemon, finished both games in FFI & II: Dawn of Souls, and completed Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga.

    And yes, seriously.
  4. Mary-Kate and Ashley's Girls Night Out! Seriously? Why?
  5. You don't have to be on higher levels to take Vayne down, though grinding a bit would certainly help, and there are several places where you can earn nifty experience. Bubble helps a lot as it doubles your HP, setting your gambits so characters would cast buffs whenever they wear off would help as well. Vayne is not that hard, you just need to have patience with him, both of his barriers are annoying, there's nothing to do but to wait until they wear off and heal in meantime, if necessary.

If you're in critical condition summons proved to be a great distraction, better ones can also deal quite a punch. Don't be stingy use your best items and you should be OK. Pretty much basic strategie but it works like a charm, at least it did for me.
  6. After the first two stages, I am pretty wiped out by the time I get to that point. It is probably got something to do with me not using Bubble and my bad choice of Gambits. I have the party attacking him even when he puts the paling up. Then by the time I realize that physical attacks don't work, he puts the one where magic doesn't work. That and his stupid gun thing makes me HP critical. Which could be fixed by doubling my HP to begin with.

I have deleted my file to make room for other games I was playing. And it has been a while since I even thought of playing XII again. I am planning on restarting it after I finish Tactics, VII, VI, and IV.
  7. Vayne! Really? He's definitely tougher to beat than Sephiroth, and The Emperor, but still not hard enough. Where seems to be the problem, maybe I can help.
