  1. I never knew that about hedgehogs, I got plenty of slugs lol, find about 5 over the garden the path .
  2. It can do, but I'd ask you to avoid it because Hedgies are actually lactose-intolerant so sadly you'd be doing the poor thing more harm than good

But well they'll be sure to pay a visit if there's plenty of insects and slugs around, and also if it's enclosed. They love a bit of security they do

Wow sounds like a big dog! It's an unusual cross-breed that, it'll be huge when the pup's fully grown (if it's not already). It'll be quite a loyal dog too, and I'm not surprised he/she bowled you over!

I hope I get Dippy by then, as long as he's safe and healthy. Christmas or no I'm happy
  3. I heard if you put milk out in a saucer it encourages then into the garden, is that true?

And yes there is ALOT of wildlife in my garden, it was like a jungle when i moved in.

My neighbor has a Labrador but its crossed with a German Shepard, and it is only 6months old but its enormous, its lovely and friendly but when it jumped up to lick me it literally pushed me to the ground

Hopefull you will have dippy for xmas, he can be a present to yourself
  4. Awww bless her! They're great until they get to the "Mine" stage... then all hell breaks loose haha. Yeah it'd be great to get one when she's a bit older I think. They grow to be big...

He has to be about 12 weeks to four months before he can leave for safety's sake, so sometime around the end of December but with a bit of luck Christmas
Aye I love the name, and it suits him down to the ground! He keeps dipping his head up and down... it's very cute.

Oh they'll come in if there's plenty of wildlife in there, and well it certainly sounds like it! Take a look in the next couple of weeks particularly, but they're usually around at night.
  5. Aww thanks she is one and a half, we think we got our dog at the wrong time cos she is so young, he was only 11weeks old and it was already to her waist height and she kept getting knocked over alot and sometimes got hurt.

How old do they have to be before you can collect him? Dippy is a really cute name
I wish i had a hedgehog im my garden but all i get are frogs and spiders oh and alot of crickets
  6. Yeah my friend has this adorable chocolate lab, and well they can be VERY demanding dogs. It's a shame the relationship broke down between you two, they can be very loyal dogs. But well yeah they do like a lot of attention, and that's kind of the reason I haven't bought one myself. Can't say I haven't been tempted but well same, I'm out a lot during the day too usually.

Hedgies are fine, Dippy's coming on in leaps and bounds from what I've heard. I must admit the one's in the photo I stole off a website haha, but well My little guy's coming up to about 3 weeks now. Still a long way off me collecting him but I get regular updates.

How old is your daughter btw, I took a look at the photos before and she's adorable ^^
  7. He was a black Labrador, and he was alot more demanding than i thought he was going to be, he was left alone alot cause im often out during the day, and it wasn't fair that he was left alone all the time, and he started to get a vicious nature towards me, but was fine my with my partner and lil girl, he just constantly snapped and snarled am me, and it wasn't in a playful way i had bad bit marks all over my hands.
Hows the hedgehogs doing? they look so cute
  8. Aww that's a shame. What breed was he? But rest assured I'm sure he'll be happy and healthy. They'll look after him
  9. The dog was too hyperactive to stay in the living room all the time, cos he kept knocking over my lil girl and she kept getting hurt, so we decided to let him have run of the hallway, but he started ripping up the carpet, chewing the paint off skirting boards and scratching door frames. We unfortunately had to give him away to an animal sanctuary tho, i miss him alot
  10. No worries, I don't edit it often!
Glad to hear, and well why not make a headstart? I really struggled last year, so best to be prepared! And I have a lot to buy this year...

Re-decorating too huh, sounding good. Aww how did the little one manage that?!?
  11. I will have to have a read of that.
