Ah, well that makes sense. In the worlds that manga-ka create, not everything makes sense, so we should just go with it. L really was an awesome character though. The whole story kind of died for me after he died and there was the time skip. He was my favorite character, so that Near kid annoyed me.
Well, common sense dictates that no one can have a letter for a name, but common sense also tells us that no notebook can kill people through heart attacks so... yeah, that's his name (and that's why I chose this username).
O.O His name is really L?!?! Seriously? His first name is a letter??? What? AAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!! I was hoping his real first name was at least Ryuzaki since it sounded so cool. Oh well, that just makes him all the more interesting. ^^
Well, Ryuzaki's his code name for the Kira case. His real name was only revealed in the 13 volume of the manga. It's called "How to Read 13" and is an extra book with character profiles, explanaitions of the chapters' titles, interviews with the creators and much more. Being the fan that I am I bought it XD Anyway, the name is revealed in a foil card that comes inside a kind of envelope that's in the volume. Well, that was L's name, right? That was the closest thing to his name I could find in the manga, since it didn't show Light writing it or anyone saying it. I always liked calling him Ryuzaki, and you're L, so you are Ryuzaki! =3 Hm? ~FANTASY X~'s message? *looks for it* Oh, my MSN? I'll PM you.
