:/ Yup... My friends got jumped a while ago. There was 5 of them and 15 of the guys jumping them. When the cops arrived, they basically said "Everyone walks, or everyone gets arrested." Justice is awesome. At least one of my friends managed to beat the crap out of the apparent ring leader.
Did you know I was bottled by some thugs in my estate? I dont think I told anyone on here. I was in my car driving and was attacked by people from their balcony. Bottles end up hitting me and smashing my car. I went straight to the police station down the road, they sent a car out. I didnt hear anything for 12 months, then recently heard that the person who admitted to it, lied about it to save his friend from ending up in jail because he had prior convictions, and now they cannot locate the person who threw the bottles. His parents wont help the police, his vehicle is unregistered and I cannot prosecute the person who lied in place of the other, because his confession was never in written form and I was stuck with the costs of fixing the damage to my car. It only taught me that you cant rely on the police, if you want true justice, you have to make that justice for yourself.
Yeah, I really don't like our justice system here in America. I really don't like how most things work; seems like a lot of bureaucracy and lawyers and politicians passing laws that help lawyers and politicians.
You cant really sue like that in Australia. Legal fees are far too high, especially for such small incidents that would most likely get thrown out even before the magistrates court.
