Yea, I know all of this. Its an old linguistic joke and phenomenon called false-friends. Many words have different meanings between languages that, when seen from one side or the other may be comical in it's apparent misuse.
Noticed your signature picture. (Mama, die, die, die,...) It's indeed funny if you read it as an English native speaker. It's Dutch for something like "Mom, that one, that one, that one." The word "alsjeblieft" means "please".
