  1. You are very thorough, Mr. Swayne, I will give you that.
  2. No, you didn't say anything about time. When you posted your journal, I of course took the bait and had to find out when you were leaving. Since I didn't know what time it was for you when you posted, I checked before making the guess.
  3. Thank you!

I had a bit of a problem with the Internet because I sort of overdosed on it after a lack of exposure. Didn't even realise!
  4. I figured I'd tell you that the last two entries in your journal are exactly the same. It happens from time to time with me as well.
  5. Of course, of course. Merry Christmas, you sent that at 1am
  6. I have a post for Morpheus nearly finished. I will want you to look over it and add some lines of Magda's dialogue, if you can.

You know, once I finish it.
  7. Make a baby in the bedroom?

Sorry I'm honestly not like this on most days.

I do think I know the where and the what. If it's needed.
  8. I know (knew) my Chinese tutor. But the last time we had any contact was six years ago. He taught me for two years (until I graduated high school). Then I continued my studies on my own since then (six years).

I assumed you were coming up behind me. I guess it's a good thing we don't have our powers yet. I might have summoned something to hurt you. Or we could, uh, make a you-know-what in the you-know-where. I don't think P and Q would mind.
  9. It's strange that you know Chinese without knowing any Chinese people. I mean I know some French without knowing French people but that was taught in High School, and I've been there twice.

PMing may be the best idea. If you didn't catch the hint - Magda's warily approaching you ;p
  10. I honestly don't know any people of Asian descent. So, I wouldn't know if they change their names.

As far as MSN goes, whatever works for you. We can always communicate through PMs about our characters.
  11. Hehe.

Interestingly I don't think the name is all that popular with Chinese Scots. Maybe they change it to avoid embarrasment?

I'd add you on MSN but I honestly haven't used in so long that it would be a waste of time to do so.
  12. It translates to King. Lan (se) means blue. So, my name is literally Blue King. Wang is also what they call the Internet, using the same tone as they do for King. Basically, because the Internet is like a king, able to watch over all its subjects. I think I know what you are getting at, but I didn't think that until just now. Probably because I think what the word actually means.

    You have a dirty mind.

Anyway, it looks like we are going to be journeying together. Sounds like fun. I guess we'll be talking more. Feel free to add me to MSN if you want.
  13. Of all of the possible Chinese surnames... Wang...
  14. Ah... So that's what it is.

Obviously with the differences in currency, we don't have 'dollar stores' here. We do have 'Pound Shops' which are pretty much self-explanatory, everything costs £1, and most of these shops are big chains of pound shops. Since VAT (tax) is included with the price everywhere in the UK (except specialist professional stores), shopping in a £1 shop is a good way to get rid of those little gold coins.

The knockoff merchandise thing is more of a different type of shop in the UK, um... colloquily and racistly known as 'Paki Shops'. Honestly I wish I knew the correct term. They sort of match the description of typical 'Mom-and-Pop Shops'.
  15. Dollar Store is a little hard to explain. I didn't want to give the actual name of the store in my post. It is kind of like a bodega, or a Mom-and-Pop Shop. They sell most things that you could think of, only selling it cheaper than what bigger stores would sell it at. Dollar stores tend to carry knockoff merchandise. Instead of Dior, then sell Dion, etc.
