When I went to reply to this message I nearly clicked 'edit' instead, that wouldn't have helped anyone. I don't think I like that 'Silver Fern' flag, mostly because it looks too much like the proposed flag for Unified Korea, and the flag of Cyprus. Even though New Zealand only vaguely looks like the fern itself. I don't think you could get away with the United Tribes flag, since the first thing people think when looking at it is 'England', and nobody needs that. You people really need to design some better flags.
Nope, you're actually 320km closer! map: Idk about the flag. There are lots of options. Schools routinely run competitions for kids to design new ones. I think it would most likely be the Silver Fern. I could live with that, although I see it more as a sporting flag and I think there are more meaningful options. I like the design of the United Tribes flag: Although now that I consider it, it looks like Australia + England.

In all likelihood, Scotland gaining independence would not change the flag or the name of the country, despite the fact that it's pretty essential to have more than one 'kingdom' to form a unification between kingdoms. But then think of the NZ and Aus flags?! Our backgrounds are that same shade of blue! Would they have to become white to match the new background? (Or maybe we can finally secede and get our own flag? Here's hoping.)
